You say "all existing Premium shows will be made free" which make it sound like everything premium is leaving the vault, but then you say "A Premium sub also gives you access to the legacy archive of content". These two statements are contradictory. Which is it? I think you should upload all the old stuff to Youtube if premium will no longer be about content.
I have updated this list change early years to be not based on year of release, but when I played it. What this basically means is that all the games I played in my first year or so of gaming is now under 1997 rather than being spread over multiple years. Also, games I played ten years after a year are no longer retroactively eligible - the intent of this list is to mark games I would GOTY at the time.
Big 2021 Update: As I have been playing Metroid Dread it's made me think back on Zero Mission and Fusion and realize how much those games mean to me, and recall how many times I replayed them and how well I know them. I realized when I made this list around 10 years ago, I did not give them their due. Those two are definitely among my favorites, and they've been added. And that's not all. I looked through my list and decided to promote many old games to the favorites club, based on how much they've stood the test of time and how much love I have for them to this day. Full list of additions below.
Kirby 64
Mario Party 3
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Wind Waker
Sunshine
Metroid Prime 2
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (DS version)
Tony Hawk's Project 8
Minish Cap
Metroid Zero Mission
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Prime 3
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Fallout 3
Also, as a small note, I also added Psychonauts around the time of Psychonauts 2 for similar reasons.
