Stranger of Paradise got robbed. The gameplay is genuinely fun, Bosses are great and the story had promise, the game is just hindered by uninspired level design and some of the worst story telling in years.
I don't listen to every episode but Albummer has been part of my rotation for a while. Godspeed.
Wrt art styles, I literally downloaded Rumble Verse, started it up, and didn't play a single match. All because of the REPUGNANT art style and animation. It's generic in a way that is actively sickening to me. I haven't ever had a reaction like that in a long while, and didn't expect such a reaction myself. But seeing it in front of me was different from watching a YT video. Just terrible.
If a game allows the players to spend infinite amounts of money it's still part of the problem even if you "don't need" to do it. Someone arrange an intervention for these Snap players, please.
I am always a bit skeeved-out when I watch videos of people being just SO into games tailor-made to trick money out of the players. So many excuses for shitty practices. Just say you like the game, I don't need an essay on how it's OK to spend money on air.
@brokenpilot: Even if they're supposed to add co-op later the fact it was released without it is mind-blowing. But the reason is probably the same as why the game can't even hit 30 fps reliably.
It's been 21 years since the last great Silent Hill game, and even that (SH2) is a bit of a chore to actually play, honestly, and is saved by its atmosphere and lightning-in-a-bottle story. I did like Shattered Memories, but I wouldn't call it a classic. The rest after 2 have been mediocre to bad. I'm very sceptical of Konami managing to make another worthwhile Silent Hill, but we'll see.
