@bizzama: Thank you! I also got way more out of the story in terms of comedy, it was so hard to take seriously. The awkwardness from the writing and animations made it much more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise.
@thunderslash: I played a bit of Forgotten Sands after this revisit, but I just couldn't get into it. The movement felt off and while the combat was better, all it did was throw tons of enemies at you that can be killed in 2 or 3 hits. Fighting off hordes like that just didn't feel like a Prince of Persia game, it's not bad though and you can probably get it really cheap so it might still be worth giving a shot!
@thunderslash: I played Warrior Within on the PSP a while back, after revisiting Sands of Time I went on to Two Thrones since I remember it being my favourite (and first one I played). Warrior Within had too much of a focus on combat and a 2edgy4me, even more dislikeable Prince. I still really enjoyed Two Thrones though, definitely my favourite; the talk between the Prince and his darker side are great, I only wish there was more!
@csl316: I do think that my experience was very fortunate in how positive it mostly was. People in chat were saying how much I was going to hate the colossus with the beard, but I had no problem with him, despite him apparently having the worst meshing issues.
@yoshisaur:I could have made a whole paragraph on the HD collection, talking about the improved framerate, pop-in problems etc. The article was already so long though. I've heard a lot of people not liking the controls, they're definitely unique, like how with Agro is feels like you're actually pulling his reins due to the slower response time. Both Ico and SotC control very weirdly, it was just very easy for me to get used to it. Totally understand if it wasn't your thing though!
I've always hated it when games or films have the protagonist not kill the main villain because it would make them 'just like them'. They typically go through hundreds of guards, killing people just doing their job, only to end up at the person who is truly evil and decide that THAT'S when they can't do it. It happens all the time and especially for an asshole like Aiden, it makes no sense not to kill the main guy you've been wanting to kill the whole time after doing the same without remorse to so many innocents.
I made him kill Maurice for the same reasons as Patrick, but also because I knew that if I had been forced to see him refuse to do it (like in so many other stories) I would have been pissed.
@bremaine: Thanks man! Yeah I definitely recommend saving the article until after you've beaten the game; best to go in unspoiled and enjoy it to the fullest.
