I just got this game in the mail yesterday and I've put a few good hours into the single player so far. I'm sure that my multiplayer potential at this point is absolutely abysmal, but I'm sorta curious. I sent a friend request to GiantBomb Forza and I may even be online this Thursday, depending on how good I'm feeling about whatever progress I'm able to make between now and then. 
 
In the meantime, does anyone have recommendations for a baseline setup? Upon game launch, I was gifted a handful of cars by the devs. I didn't really like the idea of starting off with game-breaking vehicles, so in a move that may or may not come back to bite me painfully, I sold all but the Lexus Eclipse Advan SC430 (oh, but not before getting the 200+ mph achievement with the Bugatti). Thus, I'm now sitting on half a million CR and a garage full of hatchbacks.
