I just recently played through the game. It may have been the fact that my wife kept sighing in my ear that the cut scenes went on forever or it may have been the longwinded explanations of everything I thought best left to the imagination, but I didn't really like it. It really says something that I was able to beat the game portion (cut scenes not included) in 5 hours my first playthrough. I thought the animation was breathtaking and there were high points in the narative, but overall it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I should have played it way before the hype (of course I didn't have a PS3 then) then maybe I wouldn't have been so tainted. oh well, on to bigger and better things.

I was wondering and my wondering became pondering and my pondering became a spreadsheet (that's just how these things go). I came up with the following price for my 360 and it's functions and my PS3 which is out of the box as of Dec. 21st (I love my wife). 360 cost = $539 (elite with controller and wifi adapter) PS3 cost = $539 (80 gig with HDMI cable and controller). So I guess I'm the lucky one where it worked out to be the same (with only the slight difference of 40 gig more on the 360 and Blu-ray on the PS3, however this does balance out as I can download HD moves with the space on the 360 and watch Blu-ray on the PS33). The extended costs including games was a lot more of course.

Alright, now we are starting to sound too much like politicians here. Mr. Sammyb sir (may I call you Mr. Sammyb sir? No? ok) I don't throw tantrums in supermarkets such as the ever delightful Tesco, the more understated QuickChek , or the ever present Bob's Food Shop due to the fact that the comparison is way off. Now I do comment on the fact that I don't enjoy marketing and spin, because it is a haven for un-smart people who hold it out in front of them like a cross to ward of the biases of those who would oppose them (or in extreme cases to anyone who won't agree with them). It's good to see them taken down a peg in a humorous format and for that I thank the biggity Bomb Boys for their participation. As for the "Helpful" Sony sending to people to make sure they are "informed"... really both you and I know that that doesn't amount to a hill of 23p Hienz Beans (which are Tasty as heck).

What are the game concepts nowadays, becasue I can only seem to think of three that have been shoved in our faces again and again: Future Alien Fight, Medieval Fantasy and Steampunk. Admittedly I would play a Steampunk Shooter, although I think I liked Arcanum too much in the first place.

I'm sorry, but I can't help but comment on this. I agree with Mr. CrunchUK as this does sound like the same thing I've been hearing from FOSes (Friends of Sony) for the longest time. This makes me sad and happy at the same time. Sad that Sony PR stoops this low and happy at the lovely jokes that come from this type of PR. I find myself hoping for a pickup in sales and such for Sony since I got the PS3, but I can never stand next to (and defend) the people using the word "fact" like some sort of magical sheild. Lets all just read the artical and laugh our cares aways, as we all know worries are for another day. Also, let the music play for some reason.

I really hope that the "Watch out for snakes" caption is a reference to MST3K, because if it is then I have found my new gaming information website (RIP 1up).

Yo Jaded, where does that quote come from? I enjoyed it thoroughly.

If Little big Planet is any indication of my interest in creation then I am most likely going to skip this download. I try to be creative, but just end up making large devices that look like spagetti fighting with a dog on the way to the zoo where I enjoy going when my mom leaves on vacation with one of her various lovers and I'm stuck here and have nothing to do and.... lost my point.
