Between 'Into the Breach' and 'BATTLETECH' this has a been a great year for turn-based giant robot games.

Good for the NXT guys and gals. I think that Takeover was better than a lot of us expected it was going to be.

Just a couple of thoughts.

Seriously, how many times is Dillinger going to lose to Sanity? At this point if they keep running with this, the only logical end I see is a steel cage match between Tye and Eric Young to keep the rest of Sanity out of the match. Or maybe just end the feud. I dunno. I can't even call Tye the Bray Wyatt of NXT anymore because Bray finally got his.

How many names does Almas have? Seriously, he's got the proper name, the Cien nickname, and now the El Idolo nickname. Pick one and run with it, man!

With how the Tag Team match shook out, it looks like both the Revival and DIY are due to get called up. Great for them, but it is sad because that pretty much means the end of the Golden Age of Tag Team Wrestling in NXT. This is no slight against AoP (which I thought did their job in the 3-way match good enough), but we've been spoiled rotten since the Revival vs American Alpha days. But once they are gone, what's left: AoP, Sanity when they decided to tag, TM-61 (when they come back from injury), Heavy Machinery, and those two big twins they like to job out to people? Ah, well. I think AoP will serve well enough as dominating monster heel champions until new teams get brought up to speed. And from my understanding both guys in AoP are pretty young, so they are just going to keep getting better as well. I just don't think the tag team division is going to steal the show like it has been for the last year or so.

I thought maybe it was time for Asuka to drop, but I can see this new feud with Ember going places, especially considering this match didn't have much build up. I just wonder how they are going to go forward with Asuka: is it still going to be the supremely confident Asuka because she won, or is it going to be a more cautious Asuka because Ember showed that there is a chink in the champ's armor, and Asuka had to fight dirty to maintain? Either way, a rematch in Brooklyn should be really good.

With Roode retaining, who is up next for #1 contender? I would have thought Tye since he feuded with Roode back around Takeover Toronto, but he's neck deep in the Sanity feud. There is no shortage of guys with talent, but no one has really been put in position to be "next".

As for Mania itself...on all honesty, I'm probably not going to watch it tonight. I'll just track down the matches worth watching when I get home from work tomorrow. There are only like 2 matches I want to see, and I'm not going to sit through 5 hours of nonsense to watch them.

I lost interest around the end of the season 1. The first episode is ridiculously good, but they never seemed to match that.

My sister was way into it, I meant to catch up so she had someone to talk about it with, but just never got around to it. Last time we talked about it, it sounded like she was about to call it quits as well.

Fellowship for me. I think I saw it 3 times in theaters, and it was great every time. It's biggest advantage is the fact that it only has one story to follow, as compared to Two Towers and Return of the King which has to keep skipping between various groups (Frodo and Sam, Aragon and Co, Pippen and Merry). All good stories, but being able to focus on one puts Fellowship on top for me.

And that ending, merciful heavens, that ending! Is there anything in the last 20 or so minutes of that movie that isn't straight up awesome?

...And now I'm eyeballing the bluray Extended Editions on Amazon and I'm wondering if I can justify spending $65 for them. Blast it all.

It's a real shame about the Hobbit movies. I had hope until I found out it was stretched out into three movies (I thought two might have been a bit of a stretch). I didn't go see them in theaters, and have only seen the first one (NetflixDVD'd it, and then fell asleep watching it). The Hobbit is one of my favorite books, and when I can read the book in less time than it takes me to watch the movies...someone done messed up, 'cause I'll just read the book.

Sammy vs Joe was alright.

The matches after that were tepid filler (seriously, how is the NXT tag team division so much better than the main roster divisions?)

Neville vs Gallagher was match of the night.

I thought Roman vs Braun was alright, maybe even good. Second best match of the night.

Charlotte vs Bayley was alright (good heavens I need a thesaurus or something), except the ending, as @kingpk mentioned, made it more about Sasha/Charlotte than it did Bayley. You know...the champ.

Owens vs. Goldberg was everything I hoped it wouldn't be. At the very least I thought I could count on Lesnar vs Goldberg as a match where I could go get some food during Mania, but now they're going to make that the main event...which I guess means I can go to bed earlier that night.

@hansolol: Dang it, now that you say that I'm going to be super disappointed if that's not how it goes.

Also, I know that it is generally considered that NXT has declined recently, but holy crap is their tag team division still head and shoulders above both Raw and Smackdown. The Revival coming out and hitting the Authors with Shatter Machine was magic.

In terms of politics it is hard to listen to them as an uninformed Canadian because they often explain why the other side is bad but rarely talk about why their side is good.

Welcome to politics in the US: "We're right because you're wrong, and you're wrong because we're right."

Anywho, I don't really follow any of them outside of the content on the website. I think the only one I follow on Twitter is Rorie because he mostly posts goofy dog pictures.

The first console I played was the Atari 2600.

The first console I personally owned was the Super Nintendo. Bought it off my older brother.

What in heaven's name are they doing with Tye Dillinger? The guy is Bray Wyatt of NXT. Everyone, EVERYONE IN THE WORLD, is ready for Tye to go over...but they keep jobbing him out at Takeovers. For crying out loud.
