Great write-up Alex. I put the game aside after about 5 hours of play, but I would probably still be playing if I didn't have the Witcher 3 to finish. Very flawed game, deeply annoying in many ways. But there is something about the general atmosphere and presentation of it that is compelling.
This trailer doesn't do justice to what was shown during today's Treehouse stream. I don't know why Nintendo is so bad at first trailers for their games.
Doesn't really seem like God of War at all. I think there's still a place for a high-production character action game with ancient mythology at its core, which is what the main draw of the first game of the series was for me (never bothered to play the others). It's a little disappointing to see character action abandoned, yet Kratos remains. But at least they're going with a different mythology it seems.
