Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 holds up very well. I play it often and it's as good now as it was then. An awesome soundtrack and solid gameplay.

TMNT: Turtles in Time. I never played this back in the day, but just finished a play through at work on the MiniSnes and I was very impressed with how well it held up gameplay wise. A fun sidescrolling beat em' up.

France and Denmark play out a "convenient" draw. Luckily for them, Australia couldn't get it done, so there won't be a lot of scrutiny.

Argentina scrape into the R16 with Maradonna acting like a prat from on high.

Let's hope all three of them depart this tournament as soon as possible.

I largely agree. I'm sure some people get value from them, but I would prefer a single news article, stickied to the top of the homepage that contains links to all of the trailers posted. This keeps them for those who want them, but stops them from drowning out the real GB content on the homepage.

I adored AC:2, played Syndicate lately (My first since 2). Either I've changed or the game has, but I didn't really enjoy it at all. I've always been interested in ancient egypt, but after Syndicate I won't play it. Any new AC will probably pass me by.

To answer the OP

1) Annual releases are bound to reduce the quality of the game, but money talks. If they're happy with their engine and they sell, of course they'll do them every year.

2) Gender choice is fine, so long as the story works with that design choice. Considering the frankly piss-poor story of Syndicate, I can't see this one improving on it, so why not let people pick their gender. It's a selling point for them.

3) Greece is cool to me, but it's no Egypt. I think that people generally will go for it. It's a well known time period after all.

Unfortunately, I think not. I hope so, but I can't see Sony allowing it, even is MS wants to. It'll only happen when both consoles are locked in popularity. That may never happen.
