Damn, Outer Wilds has a real shot to take home the GOTY, huh? I'm making my way through it, but even now I can totally see what makes this game so special, and I don't think I'm even close to the ending everyone's raved about so much.

Played through this last night and absolutely fucking loved it. It's so unique but still gives off those familiar, friendly Katamari vibes I love so much. It's such a warm, goofy blanket. A warm, weird, poop-filled blanket that explodes sometimes for fun.
Man, the back half of Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the biggest bummers of any anime I've ever experienced. Considering the last season non-canonical is probably the best way to go honestly. It's not even that it's completely terrible, but everything through the Dark Tournament was so good!
Also I've watched this show all the way through probably like 3 times in my life and I don't recognize half the characters in this game. Are they all just from the last definitely non-canonical season that I've erased from my mind?
Fuck, I'm past the 4th boss in this game so I thought I'd be safe from seeing anything I hadn't gotten to yet, but somehow I completely missed whatever area Ben's in.
The ways the paths in this game branch is so much harder to follow than the other games for me, I feel like I'm constantly having to go back and comb through each area for alternate routes because I'm not used to, y'know, being able to jump in these games.
I love how excited Ben gets when he learns there's no stamina meter as if that means you won't have to play at the pace FromSoft games expect from you anyway.
A big turning point for me in these games was realizing that, yes, the stamina meter is partly there to limit the number of actions you can take, but it's also meant to help teach you that you need to slow down and learn the attack patterns of enemies and not just spam attacks hoping you kill them before they take the next swing. And that definitely seems like the way you need to play this game too, even without a stamina bar.
I'm going to have to stop watching this series at work because I can barely keep myself from screaming at my computer monitor every time Vinny lets Dan get the power ups first.
Please, for the love of Zeus, stop the madness Vinny.
