With how much Jeff and Dan love the weird dumb moments in Z, the only answer for what to do after Z is go back to Dragon Ball. It's nothing but weird goofy moments, and it clarifies so many of the things they were confused about in Z.
Also, Super and GT are both pretty fucking bad, so I'd say it's either watch Dragon Ball or move on to another series entirely (Yu Yu Hakusho!!!!!!).
EDIT: To those not understanding the Super hate: Mostly, for me, it's that the animation is just bad. At best, it's comparable to Z. At worst, it's... well:
Always regretted never playing this back in the day. It looked to me like Devil May Cry made in the Resident Evil 4 engine, which is exactly my jam. Psyched to see more!
I'm gonna be so bummed if these dudes don't finish DBZ. It's true that the Buu saga is too long and not quite as great as the rest of the series, but there's so much more good Vegeta and Mr. Satan action they'll be missing out on! Come on, guys!
Got really excited to see Justice League Task Force because it was the first fighting game I ever owned, but I didn't realize it's one of the many games back in the day that were completely different on SNES and Genesis.
It looks like this version might play a little better, but the character sprites actually look like human beings, which is nice.
Also I forgot how much Darkseid talking in the intro creeped me the hell out when I was 5.
@miceman64: Wow, really? I feel the exact opposite on all counts, at least for this scene specifically. The music in Kai sounds generic and is always mixed too quiet for my taste, especially for big moments like this, and the re-dub feels a little unnecessarily wordy. To each their own, though.
The old dub literally had them constantly adding dialogue over wide shots and added lines for characters off screen so there would never be any silence. One of the reasons the Kai dub is so much better is that they (for the most part) finally stopped doing that shit.

I couldn't find the Kai version of this scene but almost none of those shots have dialogue.
Totally get that, I was saying for the Final Flash scene specifically. Obviously overall Kai is a better dub and is much more watchable, but I think there are moments from the original that are much stronger and more impactful with the English music and original dub that keep it from being the fully definitive version of the show to me.
But hey, again, I fully admit most of my enjoyment of this show is nostalgia based, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm still attached to R1/R2 for HP/HK because I started playing fighting games on the PS1 pad and I'm used to it, but I can say with confidence that using triggers for any fighting game on modern consoles is awful and I should have made the switch by now.
