" @Trav_McNasty: Thanks, I totally didn't mean to say that in some kind of douchey-dick-tone...

No problem, I didn't take it that way.

" @Trav_McNasty: I said I have respect for the professional snipers around the world moreso then most of the other roles and that it's a role that interests me the most. That has nothing to do with videogames and you just assumed that I have that respect because "yo i love to shoot fools with my sniper in call of duty, i want to be a sniper, it looks cool, 1 shot 1 kill baby". Again, don't jump at people without enough knowledge about how they feel, it's really offensive to me what you said. It got me quite angry. "
Sorry, I shouldn't have been so blatantly offensive.

"What are you talking about. You don't know me. You don't know how I feel about war or what it does or means. I simply said that's the role I'm the most interested in. Don't judge me without knowing anything at all. I don't like it at all when you see videos of US soldiers shouting "fuck yeah! we got those fuckers good!! HORAH!". Killing someone shouldn't be taken lightly and I'm sure the British soldier who made the shot didn't walk into his camp at the end of the day and shout "fuck yeah boys you sould of seen the blokes guts I plastered all over the wall, his family's going hungry tonite!". Don't come here and tell me what I know and feel like simply because this website is about videogames. It doesn't make me an arsehole who has no knowledge of the value of life and the responsibility to take it.  I can be interested in the sniper part of the army if I like, it's a profession that I like to read about. Don't misconcept me as a "gamer" who loves to see people die and think of it as if it gives you points. You know nothing about me at all, so fuck off. "
Yes I made an assumption based on your previous post which you should probably reread as then you would know how easy it is to draw the conclusion I did about you based on that post.

" Very well done that man. I have an admiration for snipers specifcally. That's the role in the army that interests me more then most.

Edit: a comment in the article stood out for me as I was thinking the same thing

Its nice to see a British soldier in the news without the suffix of "killed by US 'friendly-fire'."

"
No, I think you would be better off in the airforce dropping bombs on people. That is the most video-game like way to experience war because the reality of killing a person will never hit-home and the danger is a lot more limited.  You get to experience war through a computer screen just as usual.
If you are a sniper then you might actually have to see people being slaughtered; without a score popping over their heads when they go down. You might be met with what real war looks, smells and feels like.

I doubt people would be as impressed if it were a brown guy that killed a good 'ole freedom-lovin' white man from far away.

Racism is bad; unless we talkin' 'bout sand-niggers a'course.

A lot of the older generation are ingorant of the newer generation, it's really their stupidity. If they can watch TV and feel "mature" and "adult" then we can play video games and feel the same way. When the newer generation starts having kids they will be much less ignorant as they will either be playing games or remember playing games and so won't discriminate against their children if they play games as they get older.
