OK so I'm sure Jeff and Dan won't see this but in case they do.

Goku cannot use Kaio-Ken while Super Saiyan. This is never explained in the original run of Z and was only ever elaborated on in Dragonball Super, but it's not really a spoiler. The reasoning is Super Saiyan is a transformation based on "emotional upheaval," such as Goku losing his shit over Krillin and possibly Piccolo dying. Kaio-Ken is a technique that boosts your strength, speed, and energy output at the cost of stamina and if you push it too hard it fucks up your body. However, you need to keep focused while using it or it can go out of control and kill you if you aren't careful. Super Saiyan is too emotionally unstable of a form and Goku says using the two together would almost certainly wind up killing him.

I have no delusions this won't be yelled at them by multiple people on twitter or jeff's tumblr but in case they happen to be reading this first: Ginyu is absolutely playable in FighterZ, and he calls in the other 4 members of the Ginyu Force as strikers. Body Change is his level 3 and leaves the other player with a gimped Captain Ginyu who can't call out the Ginyu Force.

Wow Dan and Alex BOTH don't like the Undisputed belt? What is this world coming to?? That was probably the best belt design in the history of the company.

It's just so classy and respectable looking.

You should absofuckinglutely NOT watch neon Genesis or Death Note. Ever.

Both decent, both NOTHING like DBZ.

Death Note is good but yeah neither of them would have any interest in it. Evangelion, I have a friend who watched it as a depressed teen and it resonated super strongly with him. I watched it as a 24 year old who's never suffered from depression and couldn't relate to any of the issues the protagonists had, and I didn't HATE it but boy was it ever not my thing at the end of the day. Dan and Jeff I couldn't imagine giving less of a shit about any of what that show offers until maybe the end which I could see Jeff being kind of into.

dan has to be saying "frizza" and "dodaria" on purpose at this point, like his ears work and he can hear jeff saying the names correctly, right? can't wait for next week's discussion of the ginyu force with all its members, jinyu, chase, barter, raccoon, and golgo

@paulunga: Braun Strowman is an extremely large, extremely popular "monster" wrestler whose entire role on TV is to go nuts, tear shit up, and annihilate everybody in his path in increasingly comical and exaggerated ways. He's written like a villain ("heel") most of the time despite the crowds almost universally cheering for him like he was a hero ("face"). Their argument was over which of the two he's classified as, because in modern wrestling traditional heel and face dynamics are kind of meaningless. These days fans just cheer who they like regardless of how many local sports teams the wrestler in question talks trash on.

Basically it was a question of whether Vegeta on Namek should count as a hero or villain, due to him opposing other villains and being a cool character they both liked. Not quite a 1-to-1 comparison but wrestling is Dan's native language so it's probably best to familiarize yourself with a couple of the basic terms in order to understand what the fuck he's talking about on this podcast. As someone who's into both to varying degrees, I can tell you the venn diagram of wrestling versus anime is practically a circle.

@planetfunksquad: Is it something Vegeta and Nappa tell him? I could've sworn Raditz just tossed it out there when he found Piccolo in episode 1. Either way it's not that critical of a secret but yeah might as well tag it.
