this doesnt surprise me, played that game at an event. feels like shit.

I wouldn't go that far. But I played the multi player at Eurogamer and it just bored me. It was just some generic button bashing with vague objectives. I sure hope the single player will be better.

And I prefer the new one over the old one too.

So it's a different range of gaming PCs, put in console format (where you probably can't switch out hardware yourself)? I still don't get it. Who's the target market here?

but I honestly can say that the only console I've set vertically was the Wii. Don't care about this not being possible.

Yep, same here.

Here's my guess:

Friday's announcement Half-Life 3 release date - Linux platform only.

Gabe Newell 1 > Internet 0.

People will them side-load SteamOS on their rigs, play the game, and then uninstall. No one game is worth having to change the entire way you use your computer.

Or people, like me, just won't buy it. I liked Half Life 2, but it's definitely not the best invention since sliced bread.

What gets me about this announcement is that it seems completely pointless in and of itself. Perhaps Linux could become a meaningful gaming platform years in the future, but right now? If you're a console gamer, this isn't for you. If you're deep into PC gaming already, you don't need this. If you're a non-gamer, nothing about this makes you want it.

That's exactly how I feel.

Gabe and Valve may think they're going to destroy the way gaming audiences have formed over the last decades with these announcements, but they do nothing for me, and nothing for anyone already into PC gaming, unless your response to this announcement was "OMG VALVE YES I WILL FOLLOW VALVE TO THE END OF THE EARTH."

You'd be surprised at how many people think that. I feel that Valve's gotten away with questionable things in the past that other developers/publishers wouldn't get away with. People complain about needing to run clients to play their PC games, calling it "scary DRM", forgetting that Steam is exactly that. People just got more used to it as time went on.

I've said this before:

I think the best way of doing GTA(or a rockstar open world game) with a female protagonist is with two co leads(male/female)as undercover cops or spies. Actually, I think the world of espionage is WAY easier to implement a female protagonist than straight up crime.

Hey, that's not a bad idea. Then the protagonists will have to work their way up in the gang ranks to prove themselves.

What does the "results" option mean? That seems to be a more popular choice than GTA IV.
Anyways, I chose GTA V cause I didn't like GTA IV much.

You own 225 games worth: $2,789.90 USD.

I don't think that's true though, seeing as another website said I owned 160 something games.. I wonder if it counts my DLC as games..

I really want to see Bully 2.0 - Mean Girls.

2013 Lindsay Lohan playing herself would be an amazing character.

If she doesn't get too coked up or hung over to do it, sure.

I don't get it. From what I understood, this OS will run OSX, Windows and Linux games. Now, most of those Mac and Linux games work on a Windows as well, but apart from that I wonder if Steam OS will allow me to run the programs I use on my Windows PC and Macbook? I don't see why I personally would use this instead of my PC or laptop...

Eh, nope. From the way they've worded it on the website you'll be able to run certain games specifically ported to Linux on your SteamOS box. Windows or MacOS games will have to be run on an actual Windows or Mac machine, then streamed towards the machine running SteamOS.

Oh. The way I worded it sounded better...
