I'm probably alone on this one,but I really think Giant Bomb needs a board like System Wars here.Why?To keep all the garbage from spreading to the rest of the boards; it's going to happen eventually.

The garbage is already spreading good sir. The site needs more moderators and rules before they implement a System Wars like forum.

They have one mod, CitizenKane, but thats it ... I dunno about a SW forum though.If we get mods and the shitty stuff dos'nt stop, then maybe it should have a SW.

I don't think the moderators have the proper privileges yet; I could be wrong though. If they did, DaWhiteAsian would be gone long ago.

That's some pretty poor planning on part of the GB staff.

I wonder if they realise that people can abuse the system to get to 1000 points...upload a tonne of images for one game to multiple albums. Some guy has over 1000 points already and all he's done is upload pictures. Whereas people who actually want to contribute to the site properly (me) have to wait for the moderators. Lamesauce.

It's unfortunate that this point system exists at all.  The moderation-free approach that Wikipedia uses just won't work on Giant Bomb, so we need some form of review before edits go into place.  It's just a shame this is the best they could come up with.
I submitted a new game, Demigod, because it wasn't in the database at the time.  32 hours later, that was rejected, because in that time period, it had been made, and my submission was no longer needed.  Maybe I'm just used to Wikipedia, but it's upsetting that I'm treated like a second class citizen, when all I'm trying to do is help out GB.
Anyway, yeah, I think there should be a System Wars, and that it should be segregated from the other forums. 

I don't know. Having an OT, General, and System Wars board sounds an awful lot like Gamespot. Like others said, this is not Gamespot 2.0 - GB should have it's own identity with it's forums. That said, I think moderators need to up the ante to stop the garbage from spreading in the first place.

The last thing they need is a System Wars. That's just encouraging fanboyism. If somebody is acting like a fanboy, give them a negative.

I agree wholeheartedly with Andrew. I only ever frequented System Wars because of the influx of news. However, NEOGAF is faster and provides more hilarity.

They need moderators. I'm not sure about a System Wars forum though.
