You're talking about the Killzone 2 techdemo, and yeah i remember it. And what of it and that particular techdemo? Look where the PS3 is in it's graphical power in the year of 2011. Look at Uncharted 3! Nintendo shows of an interactive techdemo that is not even on par with Uncharted 3 or even with the new Tomb Raider game. What i am highlighting here is that Nintendo will once again be the underdog with it's graphics, online system, game library and on top of that - they're still gimmicky as hell.
The weird thing with Nintendo (once again) is that they really think that they can appeal to the core-gamers, the guys and girls who play multimillion dollar FPS games, epic action/adventure games, super realistic sports games and most of them want some sort of movie or music service on the console. Can Nintendo offer any of these things or services this upcoming year of 2012 with the Wii U? No, they will not and they can't compete with the PS3, Xbox 360 or the PC. And that's where the audience is at and those people know that they will get the best experience on those systems. And the best online.
After they launch the Wii U, after 2 or 3 years from that both Sony and Microsoft will release their new consoles and both the hardware and software on those things will be monsters compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360. Well, the PC will still be up on top but that's a race you can't win if you're a homeconsole.
I Don't wish the best of luck to Nintendo and i Hope they will be shutdown within 5 years. They're not good at What They Do, they do quirky stuff and parents buy those products because they're safe for kids to play! The Nintendo brand name is equal to "child safe". Do i think that's corny? YES. Do i think that playing it safe over and over again for decades is good? NO. You're not creating new things when you put out the same gameseries that you had in the early 1980's. That's you being shitscared of doing something different, something huge and interesting and also : something high quality in storytelling, graphics and gameplay.
Cute techdemo. I saw a video on YouTube of a guy holding the controller and interacting with the video on the big screen. Yeah, it's a fucking interactive video. That was CG and your dear Zelda will not look like that on the Weeuuu.
I've already pre-ordered a NGP/PS Vita, i was confident about the games and the line-up for the launch titles since the announcement. I'm freakin hyped!
