They had a good run. And by that I mean, I'm glad that they have such a clean slate. Their only album is a good album. It's a shame MSTRKRFT isn't DFA 1979 though. A shame indeed.

" *Queue a bunch of people posting indie bands that all sound the same.*  It's a tossup between Emperor, Rush, Hypocrisy, Nevermore or perhaps Ensiferum.  It depends on the day and how I'm feeling. "

This dude. Why is he being ignorant? Oh well.
By the way this dude, Emperor is pretty sweet.
It's interesting coming over here from music community heavy forums to find one thread on favorite artists. Interesting because, for instance, Electric Audio would go all, Favorite (Genre) Band, but the idea here is so much more general.
I don't know if I could ever have a lonely favorite. The beat of my drum goes to the sway of my mood. Sometimes I love me some twee. Sometimes I love me some post-rock. Sometimes I love me some 90's slacker underground. I'm feelin' a little Genghis Tron at the moment though. What is that? I've heard it labeled as Cyber Thrash.
Man, genre titles. So silly sometimes.

It's about the rise of history's dead literary geniuses, grasping with their decayed ligaments at the public which ignored them until long after their demise.
