Best 12 Games Ever

I decided after some time that this list was an inevitable thing to make and that every rightful gamer should have a "best games of all time" list, so here is mine (although I have to admit, some of the decisions were tough).

List items

  • I still think that with the innovative gameplay, immerse story, and amazing characters, Ocarina of Time rightfully deserves to be considered the best game to recorded date.

  • I loved the original Fallout, and with Fallout 2 retaining all the best qualities of the first game, as well as adding more, it was bound to be an amazing game and an extremely enjoyable experience for me.

  • System Shock 2 is the last game I remember that truly scared me, and with SHODAN (one of the best game villains in my opinion) constantly throwing surprises at you, it's no wonder i consider this one of my favorite games ever.

  • It would seem as though Deus Ex's original and detailed surroundings, as well as engaging and original gameplay would already be enough, but with an amazing story to boot, it is clear how this game became such a classic.

  • Crash Bandicoot was one of my childhood games, and I remember having lots of fun playing it. With tight gameplay, decent graphics (for the time), and entertaining story, I truly consider Crash Bandicoot 3 one of my most favorite childhood games.

  • With my love for System Shock 2, I came in skeptical into BioShock. However, with the totaly original setting and immersive atmosphere, as well as a cool story, I quickly got sucked into the game and it remained a favorite in my heart.

  • With S.T.A.L.K.E.R. being in development for so long, it was hard for it to exceed all the expectations that were weighed on it, but I think it succeeded with its original setting and characters, as well as the moody atmosphere.

  • Vice City is another rightful classic, and my favorite GTA. With a great gangster parody storyline, and improved gameplay from GTA 3, it is a great game, and the very stylish Vice City provided a truly fantastic setting.

  • Another childhood game, Street Fighter 2 is an indisputable that taught us how to throw a fireball with Ryu and do a charge with E. Honda. A great classic that will always remain fresh thanks to airtight gameplay and balance.

  • With my love for the previous Fallouts, I expected Fallout 3 to be an Oblivion with guns, so when I first stepped out into the wastes of DC and found an actually interesting fascinating world out there, I was quickly sold.

  • Although I doubt anybody else would include this in such lists, I consider Jak II a great game with interesting characters, and a truly original future city sandbox that still wasn't replicated to date.

  • Although Mass Effect 2 is a bit too fresh for this list, I think it included great aspects of Shooter and RPG and placed them in a truly fantastic setting with wonderful characters and fiction. I'm confident it will become a classic.
