Like many I followed the guys from GameSpot from the early days... It's still crazy thinking that Jeff has been at GiantBomb longer than GameSpot.

No one will probably even read my comment, but what the heck.

All you guys have been simply amazing. You got me though school, Uni (+post grad) and even now as a working professional living in Japan and the UK... The Bombcast was always my "go-to" place to just chill, listen to guys who I "know" well talk about video games. Everyone in the team brought there own unique personality and formed what I can only say is the most legendary group in gaming (journalism?... things changed so much :) ).

I always knew that one day this would come but... until it did I took the podcasts and videos for granted. You all have your own lives and I want to personally thank you for such an amazing time almost though half my life.

Saying goodbye is never easy... I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

As a non-American and someone who lives in Japan (hard to be much more disconnected). I agree and respect the decision taken by the Giant Bomb team. Regardless of if the issue stems further afield or not (it certainly does).

Since the GB crew are located in the US, it is normal for them to be talking about "American problems".

Actually, I think them doing something like this can help spread the word to less informed people located around the world.

Worth trying to reseat your CPU (also remove and reapply thermal paste), memory, maybe even GPU while you are there.

Like someone already mentioned could even by a faulty DIMM slot. Try alternating using only a single DIMM slot. Even retry with the other RAM stick.

Without equipment to test or swap out, your best bet is simply using the process of elimination to determine the point of failure. Maybe even test for a while with no graphics card.

Not sure if I would go that far. We don't know what happened behind the scenes. Basically a costume of hers got damaged in the washing machine by mistake and she super freaked out on one of the guys. It was partly her fault, she overreacted. Some other small things occurred on the show too but nothing to make me think she would do this.

No one should ever receive threats or hate from random people, but unfortunately the internet can be a nasty place. Such a young beautiful woman who will be missed. RIP

apparently the show was edited to make her out to be a villain.

Otherwise, Greg Kasavin and Brad

@regularassmilk: Yes the latest update 5.0 is either

1. Trying to update the blu-ray driver and when it fails gives you the error

2. They are purposely preventing users from updating if the drive has been tampered with (perhaps some security issue?).

Hopefully it is the former and another update will be released for those affected by this.
