I did get Smackdown 2009. (And other stuff)

I am loving the Road to Wrestlemania feature in the game. You get to make some interesting decisions (Dx or Evolution?) and it all flows together well. I keep unlocking stuff so that's cool too. Just finished John Cena's story and it was my least favorite so far. Probably because I don't like John Cena, but whatever.

Very good game though, and will keep me entertained for many times to come.

Gears of War 2 is also very neat. The band is back together, and I really couldn't be happier. I don't mind ANY of the new maps really, they're all really good. I can't say the same about the first Gears, so this one is easily better. Just stay the hell away from me (and my flamethrower) and you'll be okay.

Oh, a friend gifted me Banjo Kazooie for XBLA and it's good too. It's high-res Banjo so it's all good. This game is really easy though. Should get back to it later.

Oh, and I like Far Cry 2. Sue me.

Goldeneye Still Wins.

But Quantum of Solace is a worthy shot. I'd say it's tied with Everything or Nothing for second best Bond game. Honestly though, the game was way too short and should have been named Casino Royale. Decent multiplayer too, but nothing to keep me interested for too long. Worth a rental, which is what I did.

Fallout 3 rocks.

I'd have to say I'm about 4 hours in, and I'm loving it so far. Everytime I turn it on, I learn something new and it gets better. The VATS system rules and really helps with the combat greatly. I love the sights and sounds of a crushed, post-apocalyptic America. I turn on the radio and hear classic tunes, while I'm blasting away my next Super Mutant with whatever gun I can find. I have never played a Fallout game before this, and it seems to be a good place to start. That intro sequence was easily one of the best I've ever seen. Ever.

Oh, I saw in the comments to my last blog that people were wondering how I was going to like Fallout 3 if I didn't like Oblivion. Well, let me make myself clear.
Here are my main complaints about Oblivion:
- Boring intro sequence (GET THOSE RATS, SON!)
- Getting arrested just because I wanted a fucking horse because I was tired of walking around. IT'S NOT MY FAULT IT DIED WHILE I WENT INTO A HOUSE. OH YOU COCKSUCKING GUARDS.
- Combat sucked. (This should count for like 10 points because you spend the majority of the game wrestling with the terrible combat.)
- Boring ass Oblivion gates.
- Not being able to talk to an NPC without getting a quest. It overwhelmed the crap out of me to the point that I didn't care anymore.
- Getting lost to the point where no matter where I went, I wasn't finding where I needed to go. Frustrated the hell out of me.

So, as you can see, Oblivion and I did not mix. At all. It has two of my main gaming pet peeves in it (#5 and #6) and that is recipe for failure. Luckily, as far as I can tell, Fallout fixes all of this.  Thank goodness.

P.S. I pressed the nuke button.

Finished Fable II, Thoughts on Dead Space etc...

I have taken a few days off from work, to recoup from a procedure done on my nose. They cauterized (essentially burned) the blood vessels in my nose to stop it from bleeding. I've had quite a few problems, so it was a necessary procedure. I just hope it can stop affecting my life. It has been ruining it pretty well. I've avoided social situations as much as possible. It sucks, to put it plainly.

One thing that doesn't suck is Fable II. With the extra time off, I beat it. Yes, I beat it. This is my first RPG to ever beat. Shocking? It shouldn't be. I'm not an RPG person, and they tend to drag on for way too long with padded gameplay. Fable II does not. It let's you play more if you want, but it's completely up to you. Over the course of my Fable II time, I received 3 STDs (p

robably during the group sex I had), 4 families (one which ended by me killing my wife), and owning the entire town of Bowerstone and Bowerstone Old Town. Owning both of those towns, along with a few other things along the way netted me over 5,000 gold every five real world minutes. I'd have to say I was pretty accomplished. I guess you could say I loved the game. I'm still not done with it, but I probably won't touch it for a while. More games continue to come out, and I only have so much time to spread around.

On the other hand, there is a game I do not love. I don't even want to play it anymore. It's Dead Space. Something about it doesn't click with me.
Bleh.

It's not scary, it's not fun, it's boring and mediocre. Honestly, I'd rather have Far Cry 2. That game looks to be VERY fun. I don't see myself coming back to Dead Space. Ever. It's a horror game, I'm supposed to like it, right!? No. There's not much horror here, and the action is very meh. Give me Resident Evil 4 anyday... or 5. Heh. Fracture's the same as Dead Space really. I haven't touched Fracture since the day I bought it. Now that's funny.

Okay, I'm done for now, I'll fill you in on my next purchase for sure.
