I'm not a huge fan. Also, it's one of the clear scenarios where you can say they could be doing something else with that time. They aren't a large crew and seemed stretched for time on a good day.

Good luck in your future endeavors, my Hispanic samurai! You will be missed, but I hope you'll never be too far away to drop in.

To the man who made me see brightness when my life gave nothing but dark.

We all love you Ryan Davis.

May you be able to troll assholes from the afterlife, you beautiful hunk of man.

I'm @unsubtletease on twitter if anyone wants to mourn with a complete stranger.

Oh Biff. Not knowing you personally, but only through your greater works, I envision you as a Loki-like entity who thrives on chaos and illusion.

And I fucking love it!

I sadly missed your contributions at Gamespot, but have been witness to the anarchy that follows in your wake here since day one. You are a cornerstones of the sheer joy and madness that makes most of this community great.

Keep up the good work bitchtits!

Edit: Grammar?!? Who said anything about my Grammar?!? Say anything else about her and it's pistols at dawn!

Great exploration of how different stages of life can change the way we perceive media, while still addressing the shortcomings of the game. Bravo, Mr. Klepek.

I love everything under the "Latest Stories" and "Featured Games" areas, but I don't appreciate having my entire window eaten by your video player on launch.

I liked browsing the main stories without feeling I'm being beaten over the head by one, but I do enjoy how clean the rest of the interface is.

Edit:  Did I miss the updates to feeds that I follow being on my main page?  They were also kind of important to me.

Will probably choose Wipeout HD.  How did people like Dead Nation?  Brad is pretty down on it reading his review, but what do other people think?

Brad's review is literally the lowest of the aggregate on Metacritic (and yes, fuck Metacritic).
I haven't played it personally, but it seems to be lauded as a good local/online co-op experience, so if you're on your own I'd probably go with Wipeout.

In response to the rest of the thread, the people who thought the hardcore would be rewarded for the outage blow my mind.  People who own more than one or two of these titles are not the majority of the audience, and as much as I find it fucked that anyone's personal information was leaked due to Sony's lack of network security, this is really the best you can expect.

Yes, ideally they would cater to the needs of their most steadfast fans, but that audience is relatively small in the grand scheme, and as loud as they may be on forums, the effect of their vitriol on quarterly profits is moot.

As an addition to identity theft protection, I believe this effort to be the best they can do fiscally.  While that doesn't remotely forgive them for their negligence, or excuse the fact that they are marginalizing a passionate part of their audience, any other reparations will have to be worked out in court, or through customer service.

Blah, blah, blah...  (Sorry for the diatribe)

Sony is a major corporation who doesn't give a shit about you, just like every other corporation.  The fact that they are even putting forth this much effort shows they know they fucked up royally, and if you don't feel vindicated you should speak to them directly.  That is how you get what you feel like you deserve from this situation.

Great read Klepek.  Their point of view on the longevity of the first-person shooter genre as compared to the rhythm game market is fascinating.  They will surely test just what the staying power of the franchise is to its limits.
