My very first blog on any kind of site whatsoever! I guess I'm not very good at detailing my daily life to strangers. Not that many people will read this anyways, but welcome! I'll try to talk about my shenanigans in the world of video games every now and again, giving my opinions and maybe making a few suggestions.
As for this week, the games that have dominated my life have clearly been the many I have bought during Steam's huge sale going on right now. They've even pulled me away from completing Red Dead Redemption, even with my friend constantly insisting I complete it. Seriously, there are quality, full size games for one or two dollars, it's a perfect opportunity to pick up any games you were previously on the fence about. For now, I'll talk about the one game that stuck out to me as actually quite fantastic. It is none other than Clive Barker's Jericho, an FPS horror game from 2007. I picked it up for the hefty sum of two freakin' dollars, so it better be good or I just wasted good money. It got pretty bad reviews at the time, and most critics called it a missed opportunity.
However, in my experience it was actually a pretty good game. Of course, it is occasionally frustrating and the level design leaves something to be desired, but it is genuinely creative with a well-told story, probably one of my favorite squad based shooters. I might just write a review later to elaborate on how it is a game that could be worth your time and, possibly, the best two dollars you ever spent.

You should know that some you automatically succeed some loyalty missions, that some of them are impossible to fail. IIRC, you can mess up the loyalty missions of Garrus, Tali, Zaeed, Thane, and Samara. So just do one of their missions, and either antagonize the person or outright fail in their mission.

My biggest achievements are definitely completing the endless setlists in Rock Band 1 and 2 on Expert. I would just invite a couple of buddies over and plow through all the songs. It was an epic undertaking, but extremely satisfying.

I love achievements because they really make me strive to get the most out of the games I buy. After mining a game for all its achievements, I really feel like I've gotten my money's worth.

If it's price has gone down, you just HAVE to get Braid. It is by far my favorite XBLA game. Other than that Geometry Wars 2 and N+ are really good.

" You say the story was good, yet multiplayer sucked, most people would think the opposite. The levels where anything but boring and plain, it fact they where quite ridiculous. And that fact that you have the Treyarch logo as your display picture gives you no credibility. "
Haha without treyarch there would be no advancement in the Call of Duty franchise . Do your fucking research before you mock a company.  "
What do you mean? Treyarch only made Call of Duty 3, widely regarded as the worst in the franchise, and Call of Duty 5 which took the franchise a step backwards by dragging it back into WW2. How are they the ones advancing the franchise?

Depending on how you play the game, there is one scene in the warehouse where Shelby is talking to Ethan and Shelby says hes been following Ethan. It then goes to a flashback showing how Shelby was there when Jason was hit by the car. So, it is somewhat plausible that Shelby has been following Ethan this whole time. Why he would place origami figures in his hands during blackouts is anyone's guess.

First run of the game:
Ethan: Alive, but he didn't make it to the final showdown at the warehouse (I just randomly guessed the location, failed)
Madison: Alive, book deal!
Jayden: Alive, kicked the habit but still sees those damn tiny tanks
Shelby: Dead, shot twice at the top of the crane by Jayden
Shaun: Alive, rescued by Jayden

Side characters:

Lauren: Dead, at the bottom of a lake : (
Kramer: Alive
Hassan: Alive, safe to continue being extremely similar to Apu
Nathaniel: Dead, shot by Jayden in a moment of weakness
Drug Dealer: Dead, Ethan needed those letters!
Mad Jack: Dead, comically crushed by bulldozer after engaging in fisticuffs with Jayden
Dr. Death: Dead, took a drill to the heart
Pinky: Dead, brutally executed with a saw without disinfectant or cauterization.

Mr. Norman Jayden was clearly the hero of my run, offing three villains and rescuing Shaun. There's a reason he's my favorite character. Also, it is quite apparent that I am not very good at keeping side characters alive. Oh well
