There seems to be a lot of confusion about why this HD pack is necessary. It's not about the disparity between consoles and PC, and it's not about the DVD disc space on the 360. The hard-drive can be read faster than a DVD or Blu-ray drive can be read, so streaming in larger textures is easier if that data is stored on a hard-drive. The reason the PC version doesn't have an HD pack is because the entire game will be running off the hard-drive.
THIS. Thank you. I'm actually impressed with how good the game is able to look with the texture pack on the consoles. Makes you wonder how much better other games would look if they utilized this.
Not sure if trying to flame bait, or just stupid. BF3 not appearing on my digital platform of choice is a very legit reason to skip just another modern FPS game in a sea of mediocrity. Haters feel free to hate but I stand behind my reasoning, you just drag down the community with you <3
Wow, talk about taking things out of context. If you RTFA, he actually praises certain aspects of the singleplayer, just says that its nothing really new. And then he goes on to praise the co-op and multiplayer. The only aspect of the multiplayer he says is COD-influenced is team deathmatch, which was put in the game as a sandtrap to keep all of the people who don't want to play the objective away from those want to.
Stop trying to sensationalize shit and complain and just enjoy video games, you asshats.
