I went back and played this game not too long ago, the songs are just as catchy as I remember and kid me had some real struggles on the airplane stage, but I finally cleared it after a few tries this time around
EDIT: watching now, wow at jeff, he is nailing this, got Cool ranking near instantly, even on stage he is a real lammy :-)
I think I am more likely to buy it then before, I don't think I will pick it up at release, I had fun but I want to see where the game is after 6 months.
I'm a lightweight now when it comes to gore in games, I think my tastes are just changing. I felt the same way about the new mortal kombat. I used to love these type of games, they just aren't for me anymore though. That's not a knock against the game, I would expect nothing less from a design perspective for Doom and MK. I just don't think either one is for me.
Capcom has announced they are releasing a new Mario Party to arcades consisting of 6 minigames. I'd like to see this machine outside of Japan. I know that when Mario Kart for arcades initially came out it was only in Japan. I have seen those machines at a few different Dave & Busters. Maybe that will be a good sign that the party can come our way.
I haven't even seen it effectively demonstrated that games like DOAX3 are sexist. It's the kind of thing that "sounds" true and is easy/popular to swallow.
I was watching some gameplay on this today and it looks like the kind of game I can get into. Bestbuy still has the special edition. The reviews are pretty positive for a game of this type too.
