Alex, this is great stuff. Keep up this biting style of writing and I will give YOU my 25 bucks! Well, it'll go to Whiskey Media, and it'll be $50/year, but you'll get paid because of it!
I bought it because everyone in here is so angered by it, which told me it must be pretty good!
And it is, entertaining, decent little game. It's not incredibly complex, but if I want to sit in the dark playing an incredibly complex, masochistic game by myself while staring at ASCII graphics, I think I'll opt to masturbate with sandpaper.
Of course. It'd be stubborn, silly and childish to refuse to use one of the better features of a PC, that is to say its modularity. Plug in whatever goddamn controller you enjoy using and bam! You're off. Obviously you're not going to play a shooter with it unless you're some sort of sick, self-abusing freak... But many games just play better with one.
I honestly don't know what to think of this... I guess FFXI is the right type of MMO, since it's all menu-based, but... Ehhh. It's hard to say, really. Network issues are a lot more prevalent on handheld devices and an MMO typically needs at least a decent connection. Sure, you can have your 3G, but that's not exactly world-class reliability.
Um. This isn't even part of a consideration for me. A game, to me, tells the story of whomever the protagonist(s) is/are. The sex of the protagonist is irrelevant to that equation for me.
