I don't usually comment on the quality of content provided from Giant Bomb, but much like the GameSpot review, this is a very uninformed look at this game. It is a shame because this game is quite great
Going into this uninformed is a the most honest way to talk about a game like this. It's not like the game tells you anything on its own. No one should have to go and do a bunch of research and wikis and guides to take an honest look at a game.
As someone who has no knowledge of this game, this is exactly the sort of video that let's me know what my experience might be like. So, essentially; this video is very good and this game is not for me.
This is all just a comedic misunderstanding. Abby is clearly not that interested since she doesn't read the in-game instructions. It's understandable for her to believe she doesn't need to because Vinny is there every week and can help her. Unfortunately, she is unaware that he doesn't know how to play either. Not understanding that a 45% to-hit chance on an enemy in full cover is about as good as it gets and not being sure if you can throw a grenade after moving this deep in is pretty nuts.
I think that's it, I couldn't pinpoint my issue, but I think you nailed it.
She just straight up doesn't seem to really care anymore. She's extremely short-tempered and just blasts through dialog. She's just trying to get through the video as fast as possible. She seems bored, which super sucks.
Hopefully she was just having a bad day and it's better next time. Watching someone who's obviously not having fun makes the audience not have fun, which suuucks because this is my favorite feature on the site.
My only complaint is the lack of interest in ever reading anything. I get that they want the video to progress, but just take 30 secs to read giant text on the screen.

I've always thought that this game didn't get enough credit. It's fucking awesome.
It really is. I normally can't stand going back to play older games, it's just not how I'm wired.
But holy shit, I just can't get over how great this looks. How were people not flipping their shit back when this came out? Maybe it was so difficult people just didn't get far enough to see all of it?
