My fave weapon is definitely the dual-hidden blades, the counters and combo kills are just sick (especially the stabby-stab one). If I had to pick a single fave kill animation though, I'd probably say the one with the 2H weapon where he hacks the guy, and then puts the sword/axe over his shoulder and gently pushes the guy over. It has such a badassness to it, like "you're not even making me break a sweat" even though it's not the goriest one.

Nope, sorry. It's BYOB.

@Melvargh: Tell me about it. I'm seriously considering borrowing a 360 copy just to get 1000/1000 as well. I clearly love this game way too much.

It's amazing how many people seemed so shocked to hear him in AC2. Even still, I didn't get any of that "OMG it's Drake!" when playing AC2 at all. I guess partly because I played AC1 upon it's release, but didn't play Uncharted 1 until late 2008.

" I 100%ed the game just half an hour ago. That cape you get for all the feathers is useless. But hey, it's my first S rank game so I shouldn't be complaining. "
Not entirely useless actually. Since each cape holds onto it's previous level of notoriety, you can equip the Auditore cape when you want to go crazy and then equip anything else when you're done and essentially be reduced back to 0 notoriety. Granted, by that point in the game you probably have capes that eliminate notoriety in most cities/areas, but there's something awesome about wearing the colours of your family without shame like the badass you undoubtedly are.

100% for me. Once the money starts flowing the upgrades come very quickly. Then it was just a matter of getting all the seals/codices/feathers/art/etc.

@edgefusion: Yeah I actually got No-Hitter without realizing it in the mission where you have to defend Lorenzo. I did see a vid on youtube though where a guy just got a bunch of guards on him and smokebombed them and proceeded to kill them all with his hidden blades.

This game was definitely not a super-difficult Platinum, just very time consuming. :P Still, I managed to get my Platinum in around 23hrs 30mins.

It's a "frequent flyer" style rewards system that gives you points based on certain achievements/trophies you unlock in the game. You can then spend these reward points on things such as console themes, extra throwing knife upgrade, a special assassin's tomb and Altair's outfit from AC1. This is actually the first Ubisoft game to employ this, but R.U.S.E. and Splinter Cell: Conviction will also use this system upon their respective releases.

I quite like it, because it's rewarding you for just playing the game as intended. All the achievements that give points are story-based an unmissable. The extra stuff in no way is game-breaking, but adds a bit more utility (in the case of the knives), backstory (with the tomb) and just plain AC1 fan-service (with Altair's robes).

If you can get AC1 Cheap, then you should play it, it was a unique game, and absolutely gorgeous, with solid controls, wouldn't hurt to try it out.

As much as I love AC1, I think AC2 pretty much makes that game redundant. Sure the intro in AC2 doesn't get into the intricacies of the plot, but it does give a sufficient enough summary to at least begin to grasp what's really going on. On top of all that, AC2 refines the game systems so much, I just couldn't recommend going back to AC1.
