Play a unique fighting game with some minor problems that will be fixed in an upcoming patch, or play one of the most bland, generic shooting games out there.

Tough choice.

If you want a good PS3 shooter (lulz), and haven't already purchased it, grab Resistance. Brilliant series.

I've always felt it's something special about the keyblade and the enemies that you're fighting. A weapon specifically designed to harm the unversed/shadows/nobodies. Against other people, it would be the same as smacking them with a large chunk of metal (note: large chunks of metal HURT), but against the unversed/shadows/nobodies, it deals massive damage because of the type of weapon it is.

Think of (note: I don't know the ACTUAL name for these) vibrating bone saws. They don't cut skin. You have to push down with quite some force for it to begin to slice through a person's flesh. But against bones? It SHREDS them like they aren't even there.

I actually went and repurchased the game so I could go through the game on the Xbox version (I originally played PC version, but plan on getting DA2 on Xbox) to be able to load my decisions into DA2.

I don't mind. It's a great game, and actually, I'm preferring the Xbox controls vastly to the PC controls (as a rogue -- I can see how it would be bloody annoying as a mage).

You can also just play Arcade mode with different characters. Arcade mode is simple enough (I got the "Saving my Quarters" on Normal mode on my second runthrough) that you won't find it too challenging, and you'll learn about each character you play, as well as about each character you face. However, as you may have guessed, the styles and tactics of Arcade enemies aren't similar to real players, so you can't let yourself get used to the AI.

Edit: Also, I saw you were using a Dualshock. You may want to grab an arcade stick if you get really into multiple fighting games, or become competitive in one. It's a big help.

 Terminator: Salvation

Not sure if it's available on demand, but just playing the game through on Hard mode is worth 1000 points. And it's a rather short game.

If we're looking at new and upcoming games, there's not much in the terms of "smart shooter." Most games have opted for a cover mechanism instead.

Also, nostalgia time. Remember in Half Life, when you'd walk around a corner and there would be a fucking explosive, 3 soldiers, and some asshole on a turret waiting for you?

Good times.

This is beginning to piss me off.

I go to University, all they sell is "recycled paper", aka, grey/brown looking shit paper.
I go to buy a notebook, all they have is "recycled" notebooks, with uneven paper
Etc etc.

I'd think of more but I'm in the middle of University ~_~ (hence, why it popped into my head)

Normally I would say "WTF" at the $5 thing, but this isn't just "new colors" like most games have. This is a set of completely new costumes. Plus, as usual, it's completely optional.

However, I do still feel that $5 is too much. $1 per costume would seem right to me.
