I haven't played the remaster, but I did play the original a couple of years ago and actually quite liked it. Been a while though, so my memory is a bit fuzzy about what it was I specifically liked about it.

Since the game is still so fresh in your mind. My advice would be to maybe wait a little while for a price drop and then pick it up.

Personally I'm going to pick it up, since I only ever beat the original on the ps2 back in the day, and I think this new remake looks very beautiful.

I didn't know that walking away was an option, because the last time I walked away from something, I ended up getting one of the joke endings and lost a good 10 minutes. Also, I read 'hacking Pascal' as mercy killing him because I went back and forth between 9S and A2 during that part and I never ran into Pascal as 9S after that event.

Wait.. why are these two posts the same? O.o

I'm surprised at all the people saying that his angry rant is just him being "passionate" about his game, as if passion is only evident when people loudly express themselves. Yarny guy was passionate about his game. Hideo Kojima is passionate about his games. This guy just came across as a drunk yelling across the bar.

It's odd but the venue makes a big difference. If he made that rant on Giant Bomb's couch or on his own time, I wouldn't think ill of him. But "fuck the oscars" when you're on an award show? It's clueless.

Who said being loud is the only way to be passionate about a game? Don't put words in other peoples mouthes please.

That is just how he is from what I have seen of him. He did an interview with game informer alongside Tim Schafer and he cursed a lot in that too.

I can understand why people think he went too far and was being disrespectful, but I think he is just a very passionate molyneux-esque figure who has a hard time controlling himself.

Honestly I like having people like that around, and I'm sad that these types of controversies may put a stop to that.

Seems like most critics like it so far, which is nice. Looking forward to tomorrow when I can play it for myself :-)

I'm playing the original Xenoblade Chronicles on the wii right now in anticipation of the new one coming out. I originally bounced off of XC1 but after having a great time with Xenoblade Chronicles X when that came out it renewed my interest in the series. I must say, I'm actually enjoying the game a lot, and the story characters are actually a lot better so far than what I had been led to believe.

Most of the previews I've read about XC2 have been very positive, so I'm eagerly anticipating it.

From my own personal list, I'm guessing Gravity Rush 2, Everybody's golf and maybe Yakuza 0 will be overlooked. I'm less sure about Yakuza 0 though, since I didn't watch their playthrough through to the end, so I don't know what their final thoughts on it are.

No. Don't like their random nature so I'm not going to support them.

This announcement has really made me want to play the first one again. Loved that game so much when it first came out, and bought it again when it came to steam, but never got very far into the pc version. Think I am gonna reinstall it. Hope the new one is good, the psp one never really grabbed me and the most recent one looked pretty bad.
