Probably not too much noise from this...only largely hyped releases get that treatment. (GTA, Halo, Gears, etc.)

Depends on how much advertising it gets seems pretty quite at the moment most games that receive idiot attention tend to be high profile games(your GTA's and Gear of War's) this games looks extremely promising as it's being developed by Radical, the dudes behind Hulk:Ultimate destruction but it also appears that it's a "gamers" game , it's a new IP with no licencing  and it's not a sequel so preepmtive bad thoughts would'nt be there yet because they are not aware of it.

Post Script: this game was rejected once by my country (Australia) classafaction board once already ,but they media paid no heed.

The game isn't realistic enough to get the full outrage possible by titles like GTA4.  It's the realism of games like that, in that yes you could go out and shoot, stab and run over people right now.  However, you can't run up buildings and punch through tanks and dissolved people's bodies.

Ironically enough after all these years of people falsely stating that you get points for every helpless person you kill in GTA, we finally have a game where you DO get points for every act of horrible violence and nobody is gonna give a crap. :D

I doubt this game will actually get any of the "omg evul vedeo gaemz" media treatment unless some kid somewhere decides to injure someone horribly and blame Prototype. Of course in the unlikely event this does happen all blame will instantly be shifted from the kid and the parents onto the developers of the game. I myself once murdered a whole library full of people with a switchblade and got off scot free because I said I'd just played 90 hours of Animal Crossing.

Ya know the same type of moms that go into a game store to complain about refunds and how they think more than $20 is too overpriced.
