    Quick scoping is the act of quickly scoping in and taking a shot with your sniper rifle.

    This tactic was widely used in Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and all of the Call of Duty games that followed. The reason that it was so widely used is because if one is to quickly tap the shoulder button to aim it will auto aim on the objects chest or more often than not the head. The tactic many consider as cheap and is generally frowned upon in the general FPS and COD community. Though the mechanic is not only a Call of Duty phenomenon. The mechanic is almost in every single modern day FPS as well.
