Reboot: The Game is based on the popular TV show Reboot, which was the first computer animated series to air on TV, a full year before Pixar's Toy Story was released in theaters. The game puts players in control of Bob, Guardian of the city of Mainframe. Players control Bob as he navigates around the various locales of Mainframe on his Zipboard. As players progress they can unlock new weapons and tools for Glitch, Bob's keytool. The show's developers Mainframe created an original episode for the game which was exclusive to the game. This included the famous Planet of the Apes Binome featured in a cutscene. The story of the game is considered canon of the series and takes place halfway through the second season of the series.
