So, with the release of the Expert Hunter challenge in single player, who managed to find the legendary Jackalope?
 
Yesterday, after hours of slowly hunting for snakes and buck in Gaptooth Ridge, it zipped right by me. I manically whistled for my horse, jumped on and started chasing the damn thing, my only clue being the subtle rustling of the foliage. After a while it ran into an enclave, so I dismounted, drew my rifle and steadily approached where I knew it must have been cowering. Then all of sudden, it zipped by me again, prompting me to swiftly turn around and fire a shot in it's trajectory; I had slain the mythical Jackalope! Man, this game is still so immersive and awesome. 
 
So how about you guys? What are your epic stories of Jackalope murder? Also, does anyone know it if spawns at certain locations, and if it respawns once you've killed one? I guess there wouldn't be just one of them in the world at any time, but that would be pretty cool.

Never skinned the jackalope.  But spanking the monkey, now that I can get down with.

I found him within the first 10 minutes of playing. Think the game missed me. Also I found him after starting a new game.

I'm still trying to nail a cougar with dynamite....it's surprisingly harder than it sounds!

Lies. The Jackalope doesn't exist.

I shot it with the explosive rifle on accident so there wasn't much left to skin haha.
