A Perfect Game For A Decayed Console
This game is almost worth buying the entire console just to play it. Even though this game has been re-released for the ps2 i still prefer this version just entirely on the fact that the control scheme is much more intuitive in my opinion. The game is essentially this: Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 2 is back and is on his first day on the job of protecting the president's daughter when BAM! she gets herself kidnapped by bio-terrorists from some spanish country. Tough break on Leon's end he's not the best with first days ever since the incident of raccoon city with the viral outbreak when he was on his first day as a cop. Well thats another game altogether of course.
But I'm not here to give you spoilers, Mr.Waypoint likes to show you the key points so lets get cracking.
Pros list: The story is amazing its got everything from Spanish crazies who can and will try to eat you. Its got all the weapons you can ever dream of from a simple handgun to a rocket launcher. It's got the right amount of challenge just enough so you don't through your controller at the wall in anger too many times. Well if your me you will but im an angry gamer. It's got TONS of replay value. Any weapons and items you have in your inventory when you beat the game are transfered over to your new game. How fricken sweet is that? Including your cash! That way you can afford that infinite rocket launcher or infinite tommy gun to your hearts content.
Cons list: I can't think of very many bad things to say so I'll be as critical as i can. Ashley (President's daughter if you don't know) is a retard. It's get quite cumbersome to constantly be baby sitting a complete moron. She has almost no uses what so ever unless you count the few dumb times you need her to crank a wheel or crawl into tight spaces that Leon can so easily do himself if he wasnt so lazy.
All in all this game was far ahead of it's time. If you played this back in '05 you would have been like me and shit your pants to the amount of awesomeness thats crammed in this action packed thriller of a video game.
