While known as Rick Hunter in the Robotech universe, his original Japanese Macross name is Hikaru Ichijo. Hikaru is the main character of the original Macross series and Macross: Do You Remember Love? He is a valkyrie pilot assigned to the SDF-1's Skull Squadron.
