I enjoyed SR 3 quite a bit, but felt I've had enough of that type of game by the end of it. After seeing this I'm ready for more Saints Row quality madness.

The best thing about it is that if it was sitting on the shelf, and someone just walked into the game store looking for something to play, NOBODY could resist picking that game up.

Quite possibly the dumbest looking box art ever, and by dumbest I mean greatest.

Actually reminds me of something out of the late 90's that would be on a movie poster starring Jerry O'Connell or something.

I do not care for this franchise but that box art is one of the best this generation. I now feel guilty for not liking the games.

Also, the only thing that would make it better is if that dude sitting in the chair was Robert Downy Jr. Not sure why, but it would.

I guess if you squint you could maybe convince yourself the two women look like Shawndee and Kinzie but the dude in the middle? He looks like the most boring waste of space on that cover to me. The whole game is about just making him/her look however you want and it would have been perfect if they came up with a clever way to represent that.

I see what your saying but a lot of games with character customization show a "default" character on the box such as Mass Effect and Fable.

Is it weird that I played SR3 in it's entirety as RDJ? He just seemed to fit somehow.

I might pick this up in a Steam sale or something but i'm not paying full price for a glorified expansion.

EDIT: Box art is great though. (would've been better if the american flag was purple, white & blue though)

I wonder how much of this love is because people actually like the Saints' Row franchise, and the need to feel "in" with the Bombcast.

I played 2 the summer before 3 came out because I had a friend who wanted me to play with him. I enjoyed it at the time and all the stupid humor that was being shown for The Third had me really excited. Sometimes I just want a break from serious storylines in openworld games.

If this game retails for 40 bucks I'll definitely pick it up, unless I hear that it's far more than just a re-skinned SR3. Although, admittedly, SR3 was so short that you never got the chance to familiarize yourself with the city. Yeah, fuck it, I'll buy it no matter what.

Other than the hilarious certainty that @jouseldelka seems to have about a game that isn't even out yet, SR3 was pretty awesome. If this is the quality of SR3 but I can fly around and use a FUCKING DUBSTEP GUN, I'm happy. Also that cover encapsulates everything SR is now, big, dumb and eye-fucking 98% of the time.
