I loved the first two episodes, now I'm just bored, this game feels very very dated and one note with all the boring combat sequences.

Jesus Christ, that whole band thing had some of the best video game writing I've ever seen. The audience was something special.

I also get Alex's trying to keep the game going and everyone focused, but at some point, just let Dan and/Vinny check things out and enjoy it. Started to feel like a buzzkill dad at some point cutting things short.

This is kinda hard to watch. How can "press triangle to do enviromental attack" be such a hard mechanic to learn?

Part 4

A power cut or game crash would break the flow more (as happened in both P4 and Shenmue). Deaths don't really matter - you can just try and the checkpoints are usually just the start of the current encounter.

That's the thing though - it's not just "press triangle to do enviromental (sic) attack". Triangle is the combo finishing move / heavy attack, unless there is a Heat Action icon displayed. It took me a little time to get used to it as well. You need to be using Triangle throughout the fight, even without Heat (which I think it what Dan has been missing), but you don't want to use it at the wrong time and waste a Heat Action on a guy who is nearly down anyway.

I was REALLY enjoying this series but this episode, oh my god the translation team are clearly taking some pretty horrible liberties with this for localisation and it's so incredibly grating.

Poor spelling, poor language "laterz" "do me a solid" just......... oh man.

God damnit, I suddenly wish I spoke Japanese >:(

Just started playing this myself and the side stories are by far my favorite part so far.
