Now that I've seen the title, I'm kind of angry that you didn't think of it in the first place.

Yeah, I thought Dust: An Elsyium Tail was overly simplistic and the premise falls apart if you really start to think about it. I mean I really don't think the health care they have on Earth is terrible, just incapable of curing the diseases we have troubles with currently. I mean really, guy has fatal radiation sickness that'll kill him in 5 days yet he has pills that makes him mobile enough to star in an action movie. That's currently not possible I don't think. Even if you have cancer that's going to kill you in a year or two you can still hardly star in an action movie unless you're more the Walter White meticulous planner type action star and less the "I'm going to rip off this robot's head" action star. I mean really if you get right down to it the reason they want to use these magic beds are to cure incurable diseases like "Missing a leg." So the lesson of the story basically is "it's immoral if you don't give free super healthcare that solves everything in 6 seconds to everyone" which seems a bit silly to me considering no one has that in the present and no one's calling bullshit. It only really applies to the Harry Potterverse.

I should go see that End of Us movie, that sounds like a fun time.

The 5th guy you were talking about in The World's End is Eddie Marsan, right now he's on the show Ray Donavan on Showtime, I had no idea he was English until now lol.

I think plenty of movies are too long nowadays and this coming from someone who really loves movies and while gladly sit through a 3 hour movie if it's worth its runtime. The problem is a lot of movies aren't worth their run time and that's mainly a criticism of the big budget Hollywood movies.

Totally. I'm sick of 2.5+ hour action movies, but I'd be happy to sit through something that long that is worthwhile.

How about the "Box Office Movie Bonanza", that abbreviates to B.O.M.B for short!

Despite all the naysayers I actually enjoyed Elysium quite a bit. Tons of plotholes but I wasn't actively thinking about them because the movie has pretty good flow and awesome special effects.

I can barely understand skipping forward through parts of movies on the second viewing. There are too many times where I feel differently about films once I'm past initial expectation and have been informed by the entire experience. The World's End is definitely such a film. I loved it the first time, but the second time was even more rewarding, and the "slow" initial part is even funnier than it was during the first viewing.

But skipping forward through movies during the first viewing? WTF?!?!?!

I will second @alex in recommending Europa Report. Pretty great hard sci-fi, if you're into space exploration and the unknown, don't miss out on it. Found footage was a great choice.

I'm with you. That sounds insane/terrible.

I do sometimes fast forward in some movies though, because I'm watching it the third/fourth/fifth/millionth time and am there for the action. Ong Bak was one such movie. Undisputed 2/3 etc.

Otherwise I never skip. Not even 5th time. Especially not my favorite movies.

I definitely disagree with the knock against World's End. I thought the first half of the movie was hilarious! That dialogue was so perfectly written and delivered, and provided a good buildup for just how bonkers the latter half was.

Also, is there really ANY actor who would have worked in Daredevil? That was a top-to-bottom terrible film.

Just went to see Riddick. It's a wonderful, silly, schlocky Vin Diesel power fantasy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A lot more Pitch Black than Chronicles. Although I did enjoy both those movies, preferred the first one.

Can definitely recommend it to fans of the previous films. I guess it's my Fast and Furious.

Thanks for the Europa Report recommendation @alex, I really enjoyed that. I usually find the found-footage thing kinda hackneyed, but it worked well logically and thematically for this movie.

I honestly felt The World's End was in the league with Ghostbusters of just a flawlessly written, totally hilarious comedy. Loved it from beginning to end.
