Charlie Sheen really did do an unbelievably good job in The Arrival. Seeing who he is now and comparing it with the character in The Arrival... it's so incredibly different that you immediately find the suspension of disbelief and forget it's even him.

Yeah, believe it or not, if you're a fan of DnD you'll probably like the sequel. For a Sci-fi movie, it's WAY better than the original "blockbuster."

As for Ben Affleck being "the new Batman--" I'm okay him being Batman, I'm just not okay with the idea of anyone making yet another goddamn Batman movie already, in yet another goddamn comic book franchise reboot, so they can try to make yet another god damn "superhero brand-synergy crossover" event movie that, in DC's case, is just not going to happen. It's exasperating.

The ever-shrinking big-budget Hollywood ourobouros of desperation needs to finish eating itself and disappear already. -Let somebody else come up with the ideas for a while!

I came to Elysium expecting to be put off by its socialist message. I left offended by the movie's complete idiocy and by the egregious overacting by all parties involved (except Matt Damon, who I don't believe has ever had a role that even allowed for the possibility of overacting.)

Examples of stupidity:
The ships are nearly on Elysium! Quick, launch missiles from a unauthorized operative all the way back down on Earth to stop them!

The secretary of homeland security is clearly going rogue, in complete defiance of presidential orders and apparently not for the first time. Let's give her one last chance, I'm sure there isn't anyone better qualified for her position.

Oh, your organs will be failing and slowly dying for the next five days, but this medicine will keep you functioning totally regardless until you're dead.

The data is scrambled! Let me run around in a panic for a day before I go back to have it checked out and... oh, it's fine. He understands it immediately.

And that's without even getting into the politics of the situation.

Sorry Rorie, My Neighbor Totoro didn't really do it for me. I do want to watch it again and give it another try. Agree with you about Elysium. Jodie Foster didn't bother me that much but she got on my brother's nerves. I'm looking forward to Riddick. Can't believe you didn't mention the Metallica movie that's coming out. I'm sure Alex would have something bad to say about it. I'm actually looking forward to that one too.

This is already the 6th result of a google search for "box office bomb"... good ups, duders!

I think plenty of movies are too long nowadays and this coming from someone who really loves movies and while gladly sit through a 3 hour movie if it's worth its runtime. The problem is a lot of movies aren't worth their run time and that's mainly a criticism of the big budget Hollywood movies.
