Fighting the dad with his magic chi powers and mosquito coils in Mr. Mosquito was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Mr Mosquito is the most diesel PS2 game.

They should just get Brad and Jeff in all of these. Would make it a lot better imo.

As someone who was actually really into real life "aggressive inline" (although we would just call it skating) I always found it really disappointing that they never made a really good game based on it. Aggressive inline is actually really exciting in real life as the tricks are much grander in scope than skateboard flip tricks. Grinding actual rails at speed for lengthy period of times is quite difficult and a lot more dangerous. It was always weird to me that rollerblading never got even fractionally as big as skateboarding and inline "pro skaters" sponsored by companies barely make enough to get on by while skateboarders pull up to the spot in a BMW or something. Such is life I suppose.

Incidentally Franky Morales is a real guy and he skates to this day. Had a real nice run on the Remz team.

Awesome demo derby. But is the video quality for everyone else really bad? I can't tell if it's my connection or what.

I believe there are more videos and stuff to those demo discs then what they showed. I think they missed covering some stuff. Like the Underground Interviews etc. tisk tisk. So much for doing everything on the disc.

I love Dan and Drew playing these, and it's extra sweet to hear Jeff's comments from back in the day when these were current. I wish everyone had the time to sit down so we could hear their remembering of them.

@humanity: It's because the moment you strap something to your feet you lose all style points. Being in control of a skate board that isn't connected to your body is much more difficult than putting wheels on your shoes. Same goes for snowboarding. Skateboarding is just more impressive. But hey, I'm a skateboarder, so opinions and that.

I love when Jeff sits in on these, it makes it so much better because of his knowledge of older stuff.

We lost our fool heads during this and completely forgot to do the special features vids. We've already talked about it and will include them on the next episode.

Holy shit that Sprint Cars game was one of my childhood games. It was one of the only few games my dad played. It was actually pretty in-depth with tons of tunings and some other good stuff.

Sky Gunner didn't look that terrible.

I've known a lot of skateboarders that echo this exact sentiment, even down to the phrasing that having skates strapped to your feet somehow makes you lose all respect. Inline definitely has it's own set of unique challenges that mirror those of board control in skateboarding - mainly balance and ironically style. Also the fact that your skates are strapped to your feet also means that you are committing to each trick 100% and if it goes wrong you are that much more likely to get hurt because you can't just kick your skates away. I also have spoken to enough skateboarders to know better than to try to change their mind about any of this. I've known a lot of really cool skateboarders that get along really well with people from other genres but sadly for the most part, maybe due to it's huge success, it's a very arrogant sport.

Mark of Kri is a bad game. I still own it. I hate that game. It was visually impressive (other than it being almost all brown), but the controls are so sluggish and it has animation priorities that make it feel so slow (look how long it takes him just to climb up that ledge, ugh).

And no the combat is nothing like the Batman Arkham series.

I never understood people's affection for it. I didn't like it.

I hate the anime style, but Skygunner is the only fun game on that disc.
