@Treppass: Yeah... it was painful when they thought the time portal had disappeared but it was just in the next room. DX

Watch Ryan and Patrick play this game and piss and moan because they're not absorbing information the game is giving them. This is exactly why modern games hold your hand, begin with lengthy tutorials, interrupt your gameplay to remind you of basic functionality, draw big targets on the map and big arrows to navigate you, and why they repeat themselves over and over again. If I ever hear Ryan or Patrick complain about too much hand-holding in any future game, I'll lose it. Watching them bumble around is one thing, hearing them talking mess about a game because it's allowing them to be dumb is not something I can enjoy.

Imagine you're a game developer. You hear that major game writers are playing a classic RPG, one of the most critically acclaimed and storied games ever released. You decide to check it out. And you watch this, you watch a game reviewer bitch about one of the most beloved games of all time, because he forgot that he had a flying time machine two seconds after getting it back. And then you go back to your game, and you make sure Price has a big fucking FOLLOW insignia above his head at all times. It's one thing when they find out their focus groups can't figure out which direction to go, it's another when it's a professional games reviewer with 15 years of experience.

I simply have to quote this for truth. I know that there will never be another game like this for quite some time, until an indie developer will make something similar, although I doubt it can never quite match the scale and scope as something so masterfully crafted by a team of the best creators at the top of their game. I don't mind that magical line of breadcrumbs showing me where to go in a game where the action needs to keep going, and the story is a secondary concern. Chrono Trigger is certainly not a game where the story takes a backseat to anything. I am enjoying watching this Endurance Run, because the game is one of my top games, and I even genuinely enjoy watching the guys discover how things work in this world. Maybe they should give Earthbound a try one of these days, but I'm just going to suggest that maybe JRPGs just aren't for them, or are very good for Endurance Runs. I guess I'll reserve that judgement once I go back and scope the Persona 4 run, which intrigued me, but since I wasn't familiar with the game I didn't bother with.

Well, in their defense, they couldn't have known that the 2poch would be on the right side of the end of time since they never got off of it there before. That's how I found out where it was.

I've been playing this on Steam along with rewatching this series. Some QoL stuff is really nice such as auto-battle for when you're passing through under-leveled areas. Also, how could they forget about 2poch, their time ship?! :p
