I am pleased that the Son of Sun encounter went exactly as I thought it would on the first try.

Getting the Ruby Vest from Ayla's sidequest makes that encounter completely trivial.

...and if they want to exploit even more get Gold Studs for everyone in the Black Omen and rock Brono's Falcon Strike or whatever it's called.

Assuming that they can figure out the follow up to the Sun Stone quest, they're set to start up Black Omen by Monday. Either way, this was probably the most entertaining episode yet. Ultimate damage is indeed the ultimate strategy.

They passed right over the trader, have NEVER found the Hunting Range, and don't use Ayla. Fat chance of any of those happening.

I can't wait til they finally finish every side quest and they end it like "next time we'll take it to Lavos" then they come back to see all their saves gone

@Murdoc_: No, that quest is fairly long with lots of oblique turns that Ryan and Patrick are no doubt going to have trouble finding out about without help.

Why didn't they just read the other options that computer console had so it would tell them what to do?

Them running past those switches over and over was one of the most trying things in this endurance run so far.

What the hell WAS that sound from running up the conveyor belt?

I remember grinding my way to max level on that conveyer belt.

Ryan sitting in the charging pod instead of immediately hauling ass was driving me nuts. At least Patrick was on the ball today. Ryan probably would have taken an hour to find that "secret" path.

See, I like episodes where one of their brains is working. It's when they're both switched off that we run into problems.

It was meant to be a "you found something" type sound or whatever. It happens when it shows you the robot thing going through the invisible wall area that leads to the button to reverse the conveyor belt.

Okay that's the best quote of the entire run, despite how horrible it is.

I'm glad they ran into the Sun Palace on accident but I hope they don't over-think and panic about it. They didn't even get a good shot at it for their first fight but they were convinced that they couldn't win. At least they won't need to search anymore for sidequests unless they worry too much about the "someone close to you" thing, which I'm sure they will.

Great episode! we're looking at the last 5 or 6 episodes here I think. They could be done by next week if they go gung-ho on it.
