Are you sure? Because every other mistranslated or misleading piece of text is updated in the DS version but that line is the same.

Also, after you fight Queen Zeal, if you use the gate to go back to the end of time, he no longer says that line and talks about her finally being at rest...

Although as long as it doesn't survive till Lavos rises, I guess that's OK.

When they beat it in the present they can beat the Black Omen again by going to the past. More xp, tech points, and items!

Its been a while since I've played this game. I was sure it had something to do with the blue triangle in the present and middle ages.

@HomemadeZiggurat: The blue pyramid is just a spot to get either a kind of okay sword for Brono or a decent hat. Think of it like one of those mysterious chests but seen from the world map. No quest, you just walk in with the charged up pendant they got ages ago and a Nu lets you choose.

To be honest there's really no point in them checking it out though. Kind of pointless given their current equipment. They can pretty much wreck Lavos at this point.

Square Enix is so fucked up on that anyway. According to them, Ifrit is ee-freet. Cecil is See-sul, Tidus is Teedus. Fuck them all.

There's this language called Japanese. It's what they speak. You should check out it's phonemes. You'll never be confused again.

Btw, they did pronounce Cecil as "seh-sul" in the voice acting of FFIV DS, and both are considered accepted pronunciations in English anyway: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Cecil

Without wanting to ellicit spoilers, whats the blue pyramid again, I know I did somehing with it in my playthrough

Hopefully they actually make an effort against Lavos when they get to him. I'm worried they'll look for an excuse to "wipe" as it were just to extend the ER. They should be able to beat him at this point, cut the crap, finally put an end to that awful abysmal future.

I really hope they find how awesome Bucca is with her new gun. Never left my party when I found that.

My party, i.e the best party, was Chrono, Lucca, Marle. Switched out he other characters every so often but never Robo, coz he's slow as fuck

nobody in their right mind thinks it's the point, the comments are just bemusement from the hilariously dumb things they do sometimes. i don't really understand why some people get so defensive on behalf of ryan and patrick when it's just a bunch of chuckling over video games

i wonder why they think they can get through to lavos/end of the game within one episode's length. for all they know the black omen could be a 4 hour dungeon. it is actually pretty long and then there's the boss gauntlet and the lavos gauntlet and then the ending so... the live show will have to be like 2 hours if it's really the 'lavos special'

btw in terms of backstory you already know everything about bagus from the main story and also the ozzie fort sidequest was meant for him. the only one who really has nothing is byla. writers evidently didn't care about cavewomen

Because it's not all in good fun..lots of snark and borderline personal attacks on R and P from I've read, and it started more or less at the very beginning of the ER..people who've beaten the game 8 times giving "pro tips" and acting generally dickish. So yeah I'll defend our ER boys for having fun and not trying to min/max their way to a "perfect" playthrough and doing every single thing right. They broke some eggs...now they're enjoying the omelet.

I always pronounced it as "Baha-Mutt". Weird.

Damnit Ryan, Ups Attack Power is great, especially in Sun Shade form.

Bucca's Silver Erngs aren't even that good, put some specs on her, or at least on Bagus or someone.

Haha, I love how they find one of the things that helps them in The Trial, but they find it like 20 hours after The Trial already happened. Only Patrick and Ryan.

These last couple episodes have been great, because they've actually been acknowledging long-running jokes/frustrations in the comments. "Project Luminaire, AKA Lumiere". Priceless.

In retrospect, it's really weird that they do like, the first two rooms of the Black Omen at the end of the video, then realize, "Oh hey, let's save the rest for later". Really expected they would have just saved the whole Black Omen for one final episode.

That line, "One of you is close to someone who needs help... find this person... fast," is a mistranslation, like so much other terrible stuff in the SNES version. The original line was basically, "Hey, these are sidequests that you can go do, talk to your party members about them."
