No it is not.

I'd rather them get the bad ending and find out for themselves, giving natural reactions as opposed feigned ones.

They should have played this game how they would have without all of this help and spoiling.

I imagined the game would be less obvious about who the kiiler is. All the sentences before it asked you for a name where so clearly saying it´s Adachi.

There were MULTIPLE POLICE CARS ALL OVER TOWN, but nobody saw the killer. Could it have been a cop, maybe?

He knows where you live, and he dropped the warning letter in without raising suspicion. Hey, what about the COP who has been coming to your house every week?

Ah, I´m just imagining things. It was the fat girl.

Also, GIant Bomb probably wouldn't of been as huge as a community 6 months ago. Numbers my friend, numbers.

Why don't you email them and ask if they knew about him? Maybe you can feel better knowing your heart was crushed sooner than later.

Talk like that kinda defeats the purpose of an endurance run. But whatever they have been using guides and help for various things, the whole time.

I had it spoiled for me a long time ago, not through the comments but from searching this site.

Was interested in the Character at hand and so searched for his Character page on here where without warning it basically said "HE IS THE KILLER!". Was pretty pissed off to be honest, although I guess I shouldn't have been looking any of the characters up.

They, and the viewers, have already invested like 70 hours into this game, and they've made it obvious that they won't be creating multiple save points. And from what I understand, the game extends by about 10-15 hours if you get the good ending, which takes priority over them showing their "natural reactions" for 2 episodes.

You're a joke.

I never said the killer was spoiled.  I'm not even saying that his reactions were feigned.   What I'm saying is that Jeff and Vinny should have figured this game out on their own.

All of this coddling and guidance is fine when they ask for it (as per certain moments in the game), but to post pages and pages worth of comments explaining exactly how to answer questions and to go about playing the game takes all of the excitement out of it.

If users want to see what the game plays like with a good ending then you can go and buy it, thus playing whatever ending you'd like to see.  It's just frustrating to have people decide for the community what everyone gets to see simply because they think they know what's best.  If they get the good ending by chance, or because they specifically want it then that's fine.

This isn't some pivotal moment in my life that is being tarnished by random people on the internet - don't make assumptions.

Alot of you seem to forget that Adachi is with the team when Rise was kidnapped, so either you ruled him out there or you thought he was working with someone else.

Of course as soon as Namatame is confirmed to have kidnapped Rise it was fairly clear who the culprit was.

There is more to the mystery than just who the killer is. That is where the True Ending comes in.

Well they are both on the same page now. Does it really matter anymore if jeff knew who the killer was? It was only recently that any of their reactions to the events of the game even dealt with the real killer.

No one is forcing them to play the exact way suggested in the comments. If they are willing to go to outside sources to help out, they would be capable of doing that whether or not people were posting suggestions in the comments.

Jeff and Vinny are big boys, they can decide how they want to play the game for themselves.

Get the bad ending, it's definitely the best.  The story gets terrible when you do the good ending, and worse when you do the true ending and they draaaaaawwwwwww the story out as painfully long as they can.

See, but all of that same evidence also points to Dojima.  Actually, if the player selects Dojima as the most likely culprit, the game explains how well he passes all the checks: the connections to the two victims, the ease with which he could have observed your actions and dropped the warning letters into your mailbox, and the fact that his position as a detective wouldn't arouse suspision.  The only thing that didn't add up was how dumbfounded he sounded when your character tries to explain Personas and the TV world to him.  But that could just have easily been an act, right?

He's basically "the next best guess," but he ended up being my first choice when I played.  Lots of people would point out that he couldn't be the culprit after what happened to Nanako, but he still could have iced the first two victims before letting Namatame take over the kidnapping duties.  It wasn't until Nanako became a victim that Dojima would have had to draw the line and take Namatame down.

I'm probably reaching there on that last one, but... well it made sense to me at the time.  Luckilly the game gives you three chances to pick the right choice.

I think some people are over estimating how hard it is to just properly deduce the identity of a killer in a mystery story.  From a game-mechanic standpoint, it's pretty telling that long-term characters are granted S-Links and only ONE of them is not.

You could easily have not taken ANY of the part-time jobs, therefore NONE of those characters could be the killer as you might not have ever met them.

With just those two criteria, only ONE of the characters on that list makes any sense whatsoever.  I'm actually suprised it took Vinny and Jeff so long to come to their conclusion.  As far a mystery stories go, this one isn't bad, but it certainly doesn't break any new ground.  Don't immediately assume everyone who guesses the killer is in the know.

Characters you have not met or have not heard of do not appear on that list.  Example: the musician girl.

The ER is my first experience with Persona, so I might not know exactly how the TV world works. But, from what I understand, doesn't the midnight channel only show people who are GOING to be killed. And Namatame was only kidnapping people because they were seen on the midnight channel. Therefore if Dojima was the killer it wouldn't make sense that Nanako would ever appear the midnight channel for obvious reasons.

There's already 2 different guides on their own website that explain how to get each ending. I'm not advocating the spoiling of the game to people, I'm just pointing out how futile it is to get mad at the people posting advice/spoilers in the comments when there are tons and tons of resources Vinny and Jeff could use to get the same information. And it honestly wouldn't be that hard for them to completely avoid all spoilers and help if they really wanted to.

I don't understand what the appeal is of seeing them playing through the game completely ignorant. Have you considered the possibility that Jeff and Vinny are just like the majority of gamers out there, and wanted to get the best ending?

Well then the only other possibility is that the killer also watches the midnight channel, and murders whoever appears on it.  And I think it's pretty safe to assume Dojima wouldn't kill Nanako regardless of whether she appeared on it or not. Also, don't you think if Dojima was privy to the reality of the midnight channel, he would have been ultra-protective of Nanako in the time following he appearence on the channel, especially knowing that someone besides the killer was kidnapping the people appearing on the channel.

Whatever the relation is between the midnight channel and the victims/murderer is, i think it's pretty safe to assume that whoever was doing the killing was aware of the midnight channel, and I think Dojima's complete lack of response to Nanako appearing there rules him out.
