Endurance Run: Persona 4 - Part 40

Basic Math (which I may have mangled horribly) says we have roughly 140 - 180 endurance run episodes left, assuming the 60 to 80 hour game-time estimate is correct, and the game never gets so hard or boring that it's no longer fun to play.

I have to ask myself, do I really think Vinny and Jeff will sit through 180 more sessions (or 60, or however you guys break it up when you record)?

Nope.

I would put good odds that the run will continue until either A.) Interest in the run starts to fade, or B.) They really start getting their ass beat. Don't think A will happen any time soon, but the dungeon boss has a fair chance of ending it on condition B.

180 sessions sounds like a lot, but remember that its still only 1 a day (or 5 a day once a week, whatever they do). Everything builds up over time.

@legendary1: I was going to say that condition B seems like the least likely scenario given that his game isn't very difficult overall...but then again Vinny and Jeff are (thankfully!) not spending nearly as much time doing mindless grinding as I did on my first and only playthrough of Persona 4, so maybe they'll have a significantly tougher time with the bosses. If so it might make for even better, more suspenseful TV...

Not really, the other healer gets mediarahan about 5 levels later, get bufudyne a bit later then yukiko, and NEVER gets salvation. He gets the boost and amp spells a bit earlier I think. He gets buffs, but that doesn't help overly much because unfortunately healers are usually healing every turn and don't have time to cast buffs. He gets ailment removers, but you can cover those with cheap items easily and again, you usually want your healer to spend time healing otherwise you die the next turn from too much damage (which is why salvation is awesome late game because it does both!). Only time I would place him above Yukiko would be the 5 levels in which he has mediarama and Yukiko doesn't.

Well yeah, but the standpoint point of him being funny, awesome, and giving you the most awesome persona, plus with a higher endurance and his story and character just seems overall better than Yukiko. Plus, salvation is not that great( although, these two surely need it, which is why I said keep her). Very few personae have ma-buffs, and they get a member who'll get 2/3 of those skills with the second healer. Also, I'm more into ****tte.

I don't disagree, I'm just saying there is no reason to really hate Yukiko. Vinny and Jeff didn't like her at first, but they seem just fine with her now, even if they prefer Chie. Still, wait till they get a taste of the girls cooking, there was a very good reason for the Courage check in the Slink. :)

The main reason I dislike her is that she doesn't evolve much.

Dude you need level up the basketball social link. It'll make things easier for you in the boss battle.

The only choices with ambiguous results are at the very beginning of the game. Other than that, every choice within social links and certain plot elements do have different effects. Seriously though, try to get your courage up as quick as you can. The choices that unlock lead to some very interesting plot divergence.

It's also nice to see Jeff and Vinny treating the characters as more than 'just another NPC'. I hope they get really attached to the Dojimas, 'cause that will make the rest of this Endurance Run an emotionally driven Swearfest!
