OMG it's that time again? I never comment but this is by far my favorite series on GB!

Ahh the intro for this series is still so good!

I hate horror games that start out fairly strong and exist within a believable atmosphere, then tank it in favor of dumb game mechanics that instantly break all tension, i.e. not being able to use light sources when the game doesn't want you to, weird, totally illogical places for candles, completely unrealistic house design, forced threat areas where it isn't remotely obvious how to proceed (where Abby dies, for example, even though its not remotely her fault) etc. etc. I am more scared when a game blends the unknown with the known...but when you throw out rules and just make it where "oh the ghost can do anything it wants to and the game mechanics will be suspended when we want them to be" you just might as well be one of the billion Slender clones on Steam. Like, why bother at that point? Edith Finch is probably one of the peak examples of a game where the geometry and design of the house, while weird and designed to be a bit surreal, totally match the exterior and what you see as you explore and there's a continuity to everything.

Fright or Shite is a pretty good Hallows Eve series

This was cool, but did it seem like the interaction in this game was very finicky to anyone else? The UI seemed awful and manipulating things looked painful.

Love this series though.

I hated Midsommar. From the first scene I thought she was going to lose that shitty boyfriend and his deadbeat friends, and, after that, the movie would really start. It should have happened in the first 15 minutes, but it took the whole fucking movie! None of those characters were interesting and both the writer and the director have no idea what subtlety means. Luckily, The theater was nice enough to give me my money back after I politely asked.

I’m pretty sure they had Polaroid cameras since at least the early ‘60s.

Abby and Vinny have good on camera chemistry. I am pleasantly surprised that they are starting 6 crazy frights early. It’s great content in my opinion.

Edit: If I had a nickel for every time I’ve been stabbed to death by a dead body I would have 2 dimes and a quarter.

It feels early because it's still September but that's just how the Calendar fell this year. Halloween's on a Thursday, so starting this week means the sixth and final episode of the season will air then! Better to have some frights in September than in November, when it's illegal.

Also, why are the houses in these games always so massive.

It's not PSVR! Hallelujah! I can finally watch this series and enjoy it! No more "Ops the studio isn't designed for this setup" or "ops the controls are garbage" recuring (and quickly old) jokes. Just a scary game and fun personalities (mostly abby, some Vinny) experiencing it. Fantastic! More of this please!

Abby returns as my courageous hero who plays the games I'm too scared to play.

@bladededge: Yeah I feel like 1 VR game a year at most is the best way to go for this feature. It's so much more fun to see Abby's reaction without the headset and also the lack of technical problems.

Great start, love seeing this feature pop up again :) the PT episode is one of my favorite pieces of GB content.

YAY! This is my favorite GB feature of the year. GOTY, Pax and E3 ain't got nothing on fright or shite! I just hope they can still find horror games after the VR/P.T. fads wear off. I'm ambivalent about the Spookin with Scoops reaction cam but as long as the focus is on the game I guess it's ok.

I personally can't play scary games because the jump scares and tension is too much - but I gotta say compared to the typical games Abby plays on this series Visage seems really well made.

Abby's great at going from dead calm, to soul-shattering-scream, and back to dead calm in the space of a breath and it's amazing.

Season 1 episodes: 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 666

Season 2 episodes: 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 666

Season 3 first episode: 301

Not only it makes no sense, it doesn't follow Scene Rules. Please rename all episodes to either SxxExxx or SxEEE. Plex is very strict to naming conventions.

Small, itty bitty complaint/suggestion. These videos just list as "Ep ### - Title" on the grids and carousel. That's why I never even noticed it went up. I realize this format's been going for kind of a while now for this feature but I feel like it should show the feature title "Six Crazy Frights: Ep 301 - Visage" the same way Quick Looks, BMB, UPF, etc. are listed.

More of this game please! I've watched a playthrough of it before but I definitely think it's one of the better spooky house games.
