I think a lot of people say this and it was the reason I didn't pick it up for the first few months it was out so no you're not weird. I will say though that even I, a 30-year-old, have spent hundreds (if not 1000+) of hours in this game and learning the building was actually what hooked me the most. I think it's ultimately a lot easier than it looks/appears at first and I find it incredibly rewarding and fun to get better at.

They added skill-based matchmaking in recent months too so if you are bad at building you should be able to still have a fighters chance in most lobbies.

There's some excellent music in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I've been escaping NY and going to the Dallas Homegrown Fest for many years now. Seeing Tripping Daisy live again was amazing. It's always a good time and recommend going if you haven't been. That is assuming we'll have live music ever again...
