I am a fan of dan and think giantbomb has only gotten better since he came but dan using his fame to get free amiibos is annoying he just sits there and list the ones he dont have because he knows someone will send him them.

@johnymyko @tacticalerror: Roy is one of the Koopalings, the bosses from SMB3 and World. Specifically, he's the one who wears rad sunglasses, so I assume it's a reference to him?

i'm kinda glad i skipped a fair bit of them trying to beat this level. that said, this is nowhere near as hard as some of their other shit. they're just outta practice i think.

The problem I think is that they've both gained so much more experience in making levels since last time, so instead of a chat suggestion resulting in random scribbles all over one screen and then scrolling over, just hoping that what they just made will be possible to clear, they're trying to get clever with the concepts they're being fed and trying out new ideas and gimmicks that they're coming up with on the way, without the time or focus to fully commit to fleshing out those concepts. There were a lot of cases where they seemed sort of stuck and I was expecting them to take a suggestion from the chat, but then one would think up something of their own (like Dan suggesting the POW block near the end of the creation process) or they'd bounce ideas between each other until they landed on a compromise that made sense. I don't think this one feels as much tied community as the other ones. They got too good at their own thing.

Celeste is Blathers' younger sister not his girlfriend. this isn't important information, but it lives in my head so I'm going to share it. so help me I'm going to share it.

After this and unprofessional Fridays I can't decide whether to be more worried about Brad or Dan. The obsession is a little scary. Jeff is more like a museum curator to me and not as worrisome.

For someone who is so angry at people who dislike the alternate Zelda art style in Wind Waker, Jeff sure is anti New SMB.

"We didn't make this to be fun."

Both of them trying to clear the level made this infinitely more fun to watch. Some of the faces Dan makes while Jeff is playing are unreal.

They've gotten so much better at the game since the start, and they know about so many more specific mechanics and traps that even some of the more innocent suggestions turned into insane fuck-you traps just through jeff and dan bouncing ideas off of each other.

Like, they've always done "interpret what the chat says", but their interpretations are becoming way more brutal than they used to be. for example, the platforming ice bridge in GB Level 1 was really simple and easy, but here it turned into precise 1-block or 2-block jumps at bad angles.

@cikame: that's probably because Wind Waker looks amazing, while New SMB looks terrible.
