Nice bombcast.

 I live in Wisconsin and there are alot of weird names of towns that start with W lol. Waukesha, Waunakee, Waupaca, Waupun, Wausau, Wautoma, Wauwatosa, just to name a few lolz. I think it has something to do with the Native Americans that used to live in this state.

And just for a mention i was going to make earliar/another thread, the Second Encounter was so much better. NOT saying Ser. S-2! The second encounter was much purtier, good continuation of the weapons, and even a bit of a decent plot, and the humor peaked. So hopefully...PC was really nice then though.

For video game names: Snake, Kratos, Alucard, Altair, Ryu, and Samus, I think would all be badass choices.

Robin Williams went on Jimmy Fallon and said he also named his son, Cody, after a video game character. He didn't say what game it was, but I presume he was referring to Final Fight, since the timing seems about right.

About Star Trek Online. I've been playing the beta a good while now, well past getting my first new ship, and from what you guys said, I really think you just need to give it a little more time. Yes, it definitely is not the IDEAL Star Trek game, but that game IS NOT COMING, and I think with some time and development (which, being an MMO, is rather par for the course) STO could be close. It's a slow start, to be sure, but once you open up some more options for your crew abilities, equipment, and ship options, the options balloon out enormously (which, it should be noted, is also very much par for the course in an MMO).  For instance, Jeff complained about the slow as balls ship movement. That's true, but you start with a Light Cruiser, and Cruisers are the most slow and tanky of all the ship classes. If you get to level 5 and start a Klingon character you'll start with a Bird of Prey, which is WAY more maneuverable right off the start (plus you get a cloak, which is badass, although you can't get a battle cloak until your next tier of Bird of Prey). Or hit level 11 (or Lieutenant Commander) and get your new ship, Escorts being the most highly maneuverable in that case.
 
As for the missions? Yeah, you're right, the patrol missions suck. But they are quit a huge bit of XP for your troubles. Just so you know, all the more unique story missions come from Admiral Quinn, and the boring grind stuff (Patrol, Secure, Defend etc) come from Sulu. At least for the time being. Also Exploration missions still aren't quite ready, I suggest you avoid them. 
 
More importantly, the last patch added a lot of polish (such as the UI and various other smaller changes), as well as removed the level cap. For instance, Vinny remarked that all the sectors fell the same. Well now when you enter each new sector, there is a great little voicover by Leanord Nimoy explaining a bit of its history, and why it's important now. As soon as they opened up all the sectors I logged on and flew straight for DS9, checked out the wormhole, walked around the station, and it all looked great. They also drop CONSTANT references to all the Trek incarnations, and that's one of the things that's got me the most. It's the only current ongoing story in the 'prime' universe, and they seem to know what they're doing. 

The question about ending your PSN ID or Xbox Gamertag almost made me cry with laughter, which was embarrassing enough because I was in work.   I’m not gonna say anything about the origins of my username; I’ll just leave it up to you.   Oh and yeah I use the same name for my PSN ID and a variation on my Xbox Gamertag.

"

That video game name discussion is even funnier in hindsight knowing about those Bethesda fans who named their kid "Dovahkiin." That poor kid.

People who attentionwhoringly give their kids dumbass names like that are bad people, man.
