I think it's really weird they talk about Mass Effect 2 a ton the week that Brad is gone. I really want to hear him talk about it. He seemed by far the most excited about it, and he's been so gunshy about talking about it because people complaining.

During Mario Sunshine I yelled some obscenities and Miyamoto's name a few times.
 
Then I stopped playing it and that means I won.

Completely skipped STALKER: Call of Pripyat during new releases. Came out in North America today.

My experience with ME2 was scarily similar. Where I lived off pretzels and tried to stay awake, only to notice myself nodding off while scanning planets. . .only to be woken up by the controller vibe.

It's even weirder when you consider that they have the full armor as a existing model in the game already for the Archangel mission. A simple "pay 50 000 resource to repair the armor" research option would've been trivial.

I'm sure replacing the armor model reference is probably going to be possible via mods eventually, much like its already possible to transfer heads from one character to another (though not across genders).

Hey Ryan, if you're still reading these, what's your take on Star Trek: The Animated Series?

For some reason I'm a little, I guess, bothered by Vinny's constant "I don't know" and "You know's". 

wow listened to the first part of this podcast and I don't think more nonsense has ever been spoken on a podcast.  I love it! Can't wait to listen to the rest of it.

I just noticed that the Bombcast guys all have four fingers (three fingers, thumb) in the Bombcast header image. And it's really kind of offputting, especially Ryan.

Super excited for the eventual Mass Effect 2 spoilercast.

I very much enjoyed the discussion on video game hissy fits, like bending/snapping your controller and the unintelligible muttering. Street Fighter sometimes brings out the worst in me.

Commenting on their whole 'Star Trek' advice: I'd say there's definitely a couple worthwhile episodes in those first two seasons that are worth watching. Like, that Q episode where they introduce the Borg. That was pretty good. Vinny was talking about Sherlock Holmes holodeck stuff. Well hey, there's a great big Sherlock Holmes focused episode in Season 2.

Having my Vulcan science officer explain the properties of a planet's flora...is enough Star Trek for me, i really really like STO as is at the moment, but there is plenty of room for improvement.
 
Also when i saw how damn the same my Shepard was, i instantly fell in love with that game, just because i was playing as my shepard...im going to finish my female shepard on the original and then carry that through...even though there will be even More disconnect between games, the problem i have.

Space hamster is most likely a reference to Baldur's Gate. Minsc's hamster Boo is a "miniature giant space hamster".
Also I was really bummed there was no mention of Stalker: Call of Pripyat being released. It's probably one of the best PC shooters released in a long time.

Oh hey. Star Trek Online. I got to a mission the other night that was really quite good, and makes me hope there's more like it. Let's just say it involves time travel and real voice acting to a degree. About lv 12 I think. Make sure you check it out.

The same! i totally decided to start getting into Star Trek, i started with the first season of Next Gen, even though i have been watching the original series a lot recently due to the re-runs on CBS.
 
If im gunna start anywhere, im gunna start from the beginning, thats just me, im not skipping nothing. i love the rough edges of season one, and i love to see it improve.
