I'd say it was essential to do so.  JRPGs are stubbornly inaccesible. That's why I tend to pay a bunch of hours, then restart with the knowledge of how to platy it.  It makes a smoother, more enjoyable game. "

" The quicktime event symbols in GoW were put on the edges of the screen to make it easier to read them.  Triangle was always at the top, Circle on the right, X on the bottom, etc.  You didn't have to know what symbol was there, only what area of the screen was flashing, so you could pay more attention to the action rather than the symbols. I think you may be in the wrong crowd. We (and I actually speak for the majority GB userbase with my 'we') enjoy the divergent as hell nature of the Bombcast. I'd like to think the bombsquad has earned their right to be a little out there. Also, anything you take as 'we're vg journalists, we're so cool' is probably sarcastic and self deprecating on their part. These guys take themselves none too seriously. "

On an unrelated note I'm super happy that Brad is getting deep into Starcraft 2. I have been playing Starcraft casually forever, but I just got into the metagame six months ago. And Damn. People on ICCUP don't mess around.

For the record, guys, two screens on a hand-held is still a stupid idea, and there are precious few games that haven't suffered because of it. And even if it's everywhere and everyone loves it, that still doesn't mean 3D is anything more than a pretty gimmick.

Fantastic site.  I only discovered it a few days ago, and it tips IGN and Game**** into a cocked hat.  The Bombcasts are the best podcasts on the Net, and would be even better with some kind of compression on the sound to stop the laughter and shout-till-funny sections breaking my windows.  great work, all!
